what do you do after the building, planning, and o/cing is done?

I built a budget system for myself this last summer and it was a lot of fun collecting parts, trying to get the best deals, checking prices, etc. Well, the system is finished and upgraded a couple times since (more ram, new cdrw, more fans) but I really haven't had much more to work on. The processor won't go past 850 and the video card doesn't overclock very well. I did the Via tweaks to improve memory performance and this last weekend, I found that I could run my two chips of RAM at 222/5 and 232/5. With DDR coming out, that isn't very exciting either. I play games, look at frame rates, blah blah blah, but most of the fun is in building the system. Now I'm planning a second system only half a year later. I was wondering what you guys do after your system is done and tweaked?

Just got the bugs all out of my latest and doing what you are. Looking at Pricewatch waiting for select parts to come down to start on PC #5 for the home network......need one in the kitchen. Yea.....that's it.....a micro ATC case and flat plasma screen with interactive cookbooks.......ooooooooo gotta go surf to find the parts.

Look into running RC5, Prime95, or seti @ home.

These are distributed computing projects that use CPU time that would normally be wasted.

After a system is set up and tweaked as much as I can tweak...I start thinking about upgrades... And if I reach the point that there's not much I really can upgrade (as I am now; going from 800 to 1GHz isn't worth it)...then I start thinking about building additional systems. Or raiding old machines to build new machines. That's always fun.

Try learning Linux or Win2k. Get into editing audio files and playing with mp3's. Become an expert on ripping DVD's to Divx. Play with video editing. Learn HTML. Learn C++ or another programming language.

Use the computer to do some computing, instead of just collecting parts and putting them together.

I have actually been doing a lot of audio/video editing along with c++, vb, and html. I'm thinking of getting into more hardcore stuff like modding and lapping. BTW, sohcrates and Grminalac, I'm not talking about pr0n.
