TBH, it's management that wants it to "look cool" for when the higher end managers come to visit. No joke. When we got a new manager he wanted to change everything around as we were not all facing the front and we only had a couple random TVs setup for global stuff that we all look at. Most of the stuff we watch is on our own PCs. Now we have like 10ish TVs up front that we hardly even look at because all the stuff we need is local. Though we did get 3 4k monitors and 1 HD monitor, instead of 4-6 HD that we had before so that was a bonus. Most of us were bringing extra monitors from home as they keep adding new stuff for us to watch and we just had no screen real estate left.
The stuff on the TVs is realistically too small to view from a distance and you have to remote into it if you want to interact with it, it's only management that really looks at that.
It looks cool though.
What size anvil are you looking for? My wife may be ready to sell hers as arthritis is limiting her smithing.Generalized IT sysadmin. Several years in the military, followed by contractor work, followed by higher ed. Potentially branching into blacksmithing, if I can find the time and someone not trying to ream me on the cost of an anvil.

Sorry about the wife's hands. The only thing this age shit is better than is dead...so far.
It's been an interest for a long time, and has recently turned into an infatuation. We just got lucky on the family (gf's parents) buying a property that has the space for such an endeavor, and I've got free time time to pursue it, after taking care of the property. Hopefully this extends beyond a hobby and into something that can actually be useful and/or keep food in my stomach once my job gets inevitably automated out of existence.Blacksmithing's cool. That was always something I had an interest in, but at this point, I doubt it'll happen. Too much other stuff occupying my time, but if an almost turnkey forge & shop turned up, I can't say I wouldn't jump in.

Hardwood Flooring
I do lots of high end work for the rich and famous in this area. Along with landmark houses and I even had the pleasure of doing the floors in the restoration of a F.L.W. house But today I started a slightly gruesome job of tearing out and replacing the floor where somebody blew their brains out.
Any tips on renovating hardwood that was installed in the 50-60s? Floor looks decent, but it needs sanded/stained of course. Also, what do you do when there are slight gaps in-between boards? Are you supposed to put in some kind of filler?
You have a point there. Maybe some day I will get to the oil fields and make some serious dinars!School? If you are smart, semi young, without a record you have no excuses.
I'm a law talking guy. I have my own law firm. Mostly business/corporate litigation.
I do work I can't stand, for people I don't like, for not enough money. Needless to say I fucked up along the way to get where I am. Multiple felonies will do that.
I am the Branch Chief for emergency operations for a state agency. Basically I ensure we are trained and equipped to respond to emergencies. ICS/SEMS/NIMS, etc.
