Maybe I'm not understanding the last few scenes... but all I get is that he's sleeping with mom and getting her back. What's the significance of the "shrink" scene with the guy (that looks like him) getting off an elevator and seeing her at his doorstep...

They then cut to the last scene where she walks in on the two of them in the kitchen... why is she surprised then ?

I must be missing something...
