What do you eat for breakfast?

I have a large bowl of total with 0% milk. I'm not sure if this is good or not. I don't add any sugar or fruits to it to increase it calories. But I was looking at the box and it seems 3/4 cup of cerial is about 120 or so calories. I used a measuring cup to see how much 3/4 cup ceral actually was. It just covered the bottom of the bowl??? How much should you eat for breakfast, and what?

If all you're having is cereal for breakfast, you're better off skipping it. Go for something high protein to avoid getting hungry before lunch. Eggs and sausage are great. Better yet, get out of the mindset that certain foods are off limits for breakfast and have leftovers from dinner to save time.

2 scoops whey protien

Makes for an awesome smoothie

Greasy? Are you kidding me?

This is what I have in the morning, EVERY morning:

1 tbsp olive oil
4 egg whites
1 whole egg
four turkey sausage links
1/4 cup reduc fat cheddar

Hardly greasy and delicious to boot.

processed cereals are about the same as eating plain sugar.... so you are eating 120 calories worth of sugar each morning if you are eating 3/4 cup....

go for at least 300 calories and include a protein (more than just milk)

my breakfast:
1/2 cup oatmeal mixed with fruit - usually about 1/3 of a banana
- this is 150-200 calories
40 grams protein powder mixed with water
- this is about 200-250

on days were I need to eat and dash.
protein powder
light wheat bread (IMHO no bread is ideal, but is convenient) with peanut butter

I have one or two bowls of breakfast cereal with 0% milk too, sometimes with a couple pieces of toast or a PBJ sandwich. If I'm planning a major multi-hour bike ride after work, a bigger breakfast is important.

One factor that matters to me here is expense. Sausage, eggs, protein powder...? Heck, I don't even buy Total, it's more like house-brand raisin bran for my budget.

4 to 6 eggs scrambled with either ham, sausage, or bacon on the side and a bowl of oatmeal.

Eating 1 gram of protein per ideal body mass and .5 grams of fat per ideal body mass is what the general consensus is these days. Eating fat helps your body understand that you are not starving.

Oats, shredded wheat (the large plain biscuits) with skim milk, eggs, etc. For meats you can go with low fat or fat free turkey products if you are worried about the grease.

or if i actually feel like eating breakfast it'll be a variation of oatmeal, fruit(apple or berries), eggs, 100% cacao bar

Nothing, I prefer to fast between 10pm and noon.

This, as of this week. Just started IF and so far so good. really fasting for 19 hours isn't a big deal, for me. My biggest issue has been refeeding and getting enough calories in, in those 5 hours I have to eat.

1 piece of no HFCS whole wheat toast with Once Again Nut Butter, one hard boiled egg, one small bowl of shredded wheat with 2% milk, and one cup of coffee.

Generally, just a cup of black coffee. I don't have the inclination to do something protein-y, and if I eat something like cereal or fruit I'm even more hungry come 9-10am.

so i guess a vicodin and a rockstar is a bad idea lmao. Most days i drink a coffee and wait till about 10am to eat some steak and potatoes burrito off the wagon.

Yes i am fat. and no i dont care. 6 4 and 235lbs

These days, I typcially have a serving of whey protein drink on the drive.

When I get to work, I will occasionally have trail mix with my morning coffee.

I start my morning off at 5:40am with 8-12 oz of 2% milk mixed with one scoop of Amp Wheybolic. ( ~210 cal) and then at 8:30am I have 1 Cliff bar (~240cal). So all in All that's about 450cal and prob like 45ish grams of protein with a little bit of carbs in their, too. So far since Xmas I have lost almost 15lbs. I have been doing p90x2 now for 4 weeks, too.. So that is most certainly helping me along with my normal activities.

I already responded ... I should add that I eat what I eat now because I am trying to loose weight.

When I am in maintain weight mode I will be making wheat bread. Go check out Dee's wheat bread and allrecipes. It is unreal.

Oatmeal, banana, and some Greek yogurt on weekdays.

Eggs, toast, and bacon on weekends when I have the time to cook and deal with the mess.

I do a green smoothie, with about 3/4 cup of mixed frozen tropical fruit, a scoop of green vibrance, one tablespoon of ground flax meal and about two heaping handfuls of spinach.

Do this pretty much every day, might also add a small handful of walnuts from time to time as well.
