I did, however, go to Office Max and get an HP Laserjet 1012 for $159 after taxes. They pricematched the OD ad I had with me. Odd part though is that they only did a straight pricematch, and not their "115% Gaurantee". Oh well - difference is only a couple bucks, and I still got it for quite a bit less than the $200 SRP. I'm happy.

I got up at 10am, went to Staples.com and got the Pacific Digital (rebadged NEC 1300) DVD burner for $59.99 ($89.99 AR -$ 30 coupon) all online. Filled in the online rebate forms. Still in my jammies and done with the BF sales.

I ended up getting

for $139 from Fry's in San Jose. Was a nightmare though. Got up at 6, got there about 6:45 and the place was jam packed. I got one of the last one of these combinations (they had CPU's but were out of motherboards). Also picked up a Thermaltake P4 Spark III Heatsink/Fan for $12.99. The line for checkout ran from back by the printers and then wove through every DVD isle and every music CD isle, back through the stereo section, back past the TV's and back down by the Crock Pots, and then wound down through the magazine section and back again to the checkout island. Was about 1hr 15 min line.

i shopped online and busted out with the coupons for staples, got the 80gb hd, Belkin router, 100pk cd-rs and the envision 17" lcd for about 240 bones after is it all said and done.

Hmmm...just realized something. Is the LJ 1012 a brand new model or something? I don't see toner cartridges for it anywhere but the big office & computer B&M places. Not that it matters much; it should be quite a while before I run through the existing drum. I was just wondering.

Wasted my time at ODfrom 4:30 until 7A.M. Got their 19" LCD for (after MIR) of$399. Mgr. let me use Staples $30 off $150;=$369.99 after MIR. That monitor had no name on the box OR on the monitor. Got scared, went to Costco & only 4 people in line @7:45A.M. Got their 19" LCD Envision for $399 after MIR. Costco still had 8 left on a pallet when I left. Took no name back to OD. Let someone else be happy to get earlybird special, as they were already out. BB still had 24, er uh 23 now, ATI 9600 Radeon's @$69.99 after MIR at the tech counter. She rang me up there at 10:30 & I avoided the long ass line at regular checkout. CSR was very polite on such a busy day. I was told the $500 laptop's and cheap camcorders were all gone in about 8 minutes. Hope all had fun today.Thanks to Hot deals here!
