What do you guys think of G.SKILL memory?

In planning stages for a new build. Originally was going for a set Patriot sticks but the price and rating has me quite interested in this...

G.SKILL 4GB(2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)

I'd say go for it they are very nice and overclock good enough for me.
I have been running them in my current rig for the several months and have never ever had a single bsod ect..
Other wise you could also go with ddr2 1066 for about the same price.
As 1066 seems to be the new stanard for ddr2 memory.

Or get their DDR2-1000 2x2gb set for 20.00 more.

Looks like 1066 is DDR3 though

Would I see a difference between the two? Looks like Newegg only has GSkill at 1000 for a 4 gig kit

Not here yet but I bought the 2x2 Gb DDR-800 5-5-5-15.
I'll let everyone know how it goes.

I do have 2 Gigs of GSkill DDR in my wifes computer and they have been excellent although that computer really doesn't have any way to overclock. They did install at their advertised spd and have been very stable.

I went to the GSkill site and the set I ordered is supposedly guaranteed Micron IC's.

Hope thats a good thing.

No there is ddr2 1066 but yes there is also ddr3 1066.

I was referring him to buy the ddr2 1066 but it looks like he opted for the ddr2 800 which

will do him just fine..Enjoy!!

Got it today. It is very pretty ram. But thats not why we're here.

Installed and detected fine. Ran a round of memtest with no errors. Gonna try 1T and see what happens.

have 1gb x2 in my rig right now running strong. no memory problems since i built it. overclocks nicely also.
