Sony Grand WEGA KDF-55E2000
I've been reading up on this TV. Its native resolution is 720p. Anything else it receives, the TV will convert it to 720p. How bad do you think it will mess up the quality. The folks at AVS love this TV and say that you can hardly notice any difference when the TV converts anything from 1080i to 720p. I just wanted to get some more opinions on this TV. Thanks.
You can definitely see the difference between 720p and 1080i.
yeah 720p is much better
Even when 1080i is being scaled to 720P?
You have to understand that some people are just stupid. Of course 720p isn't going to be better, you have less resolution to work with. When 1080p becomes the standard, you'll still have some nutcase saying that his 1991 standard TV looks just as good.
I really hope you're kidding, because there is no a discernible difference in the two resolutions. Both have a similar number of pixels as well.
