when overland traveling i have 3 totes on the roof rack with that stuff plus a bit more and 4 fuel cans.

This is kept in a locked toolbox in the box of my truck and is bolted and welded to the frame/box so it cannot be removed easaly.

Truck is used for offroad vehicle recovery(i dispatch tow trucks, any recoveries my trucks can not get access to i will go out and do in my personal vehicle for a higher offroad recovery rate), as well as my daily driver and weekend toy, will be purchasing car in the near future so truck will then be more lifted with larger tires and solely be a recovery vehicle/weekend toy.

I didn't know it was there but apparently I kept an envelope of money in my trunk.

I was rear-ended 2 months ago and when the bodyshop dismantled the trunk they found it hidden in there. I bought it used and have no idea where it came from.

My SUV has an air pump, quart of oil, tire pressure gauge, small shovel, basic tool kit, ratchet straps, bungees, rope, trailer plug adapter, tire iron, bottle jack, wheel chocks, a full size spare, and a plastic bin full of all sorts of spare computer parts for use on the field.

My car has pretty much nothing aside from the factory donut spare, scissor jack, and lug wrench. I am going to get an air pump and pressure gauge to keep in the back but that's probably about it for normal stuff.

I need to get new sunglasses for both vehicles. The cheapo set I have in the SUV has lasted quite well but they're a little messed up now. I want to get a nicer set this time (polarized lenses, maybe) but not sure what to look for to be honest.

Well, in the cab of my truck, I have some of my work clothes and some bottled water.
In the arm rest storage I have
some change
napkins
Sweet-n-Low packts
straws
check stubs and
a knife

Overhead storage bin has my sunglasses and about a million pens

In the front driver's side door pocket, I have
a large amount of small zip-ties
a multi-tool that has allen wrenches and some common small sockets
a pliers multi-tool and
two kitchen knives

Driver's side rear door pocket has a couple of hand towels/rags and an umbrella.

In the bed toolbox, I have
a hydraulic floor jack
a bunch of bungie cords
some misc tools
a tarp
an emergency roadside kit (road cones, thermal blanket, med kit, jumper cables, fix-a-flat, flashlight, etc)
several ratcheting tie-downs
some basic vehicle fluids
a 4-way tire iron
a small 12v tire pump
and my range bag with a few hundred rounds of ammunition in it.

Oh, and I keep a handgun concealed in my truck. No, you don't get to know where it is.

If I go out of town, I'll throw in water and some ready to eat stuff.

Glove compartment, consoles, map pockets:

Wet wipes for sanitizing hands. Also can be emergency toilet paper.
Owners manual.
Proper paperwork.
Pens, pencils, memopad, a couple pads of Post-it notes.
Gum.
Business cards.
LED flashlight.
Cell phone charger.
MP3 player and audio cable.

in my truck i have snow chains (yes, i know i live in a desert), tool set, jumper cables, extension cords, network cabling/ rj45 ends/ tools, spare tire/ jack, 3 or 4 knives, hatchet, large mallets, all kinds of specialty tools for work.

my wagon gets most of the work tools as well as a gas can

my civic gets a tool kit, oil, cables, antifreeze, random pens and such

all the vehicles have 100 9mm rds, and i swap out my 2 extra mags depending on which vehicle im using. oh ya, a small table and chair as well. i used to carry an umbrella, but only in the truck.

oh, and 3 laptops.

and usually 2 PLCs and power supplies, as well as a big ass box of cables/ connectors

The glove compartment is locked so is the trunk in the back and i know my rights so you gonna need a warrant for that

World tools in the trunk, sunglasses in the sunglasses holder, sunshade, and insurance/registration/manual/etc... in glove box. I hate having junk in my car. I should probably get something like a first aid kit and jumper cables to put in there though.
