What do you own that most people can't understand why you paid so much for it?

Most of my Robotech collection:

5 Masterpice Collection Veritech's, and one set of armor (so far), a wall hanging, 7 DVD box sets, keychains, and bookends (first set bought, 2nd on preorder).

Not much really, but too some people it's too much. Of course, I still need the armor for Max & Miriya's Veritech's, possibly the Jack Archer YF-1R, and the Alpha fighter's.

Also have the Voltron Masterpiece Edition on pre-order.

the 700$ i spent on a 4x5 Camera kit
even tho it was only 200$ people think im crazy because i run 2 19in CRTs

I just recently put my mountain bike over the $1000 mark and I am looking into getting a new fork soon. (trying to hold back and wait till mine wears out) I also want disc brakes. That means upgrading my hubs and I would probably just get new wheels for the hell of it.

Also spent about $1300 on snowboarding equipment.

I spend alot of money but its usually spread out over alot of things. I need to try to save more!

i was looking at buying one 19' CRT it was about 280 somthin

my whole take on things is "you get what you pay for" and my dad has always told me "you buy cheap, you buy twice"

Probably the D-Reb ($900) + $600 in lens/flash, though technically they were all gifts to my wife. She takes enough pics that it's all worth it IMO and we finally have a digital camera that isn't frustrating.

yea it was like 250 with a 50 in store rebate, the other 19 i have cost 200$ wiuth no rebate, got it at walmart of all places, it runs 1600x1200 just fine at 75Hz and is still kicking after 4 years, both are flat front CRTs,

well when I used to Mt. Bike I guess my $3000+ Schwinn Homegrown USA most people raised an eyebrow at.... sadly thats some time ago and long gone (actually I still know the current owner... maybe someday Ill give him $50 for it).

As for items I own now? Hmm.... my '65 Ford F250 people dont get too much.
