Some people (including myself) put their max OC in their system profiles to make their e-peens HUGE , but really what do you run as a daily speed? My system runs 3.5GHz with speedstep enabled (2.3GHz) daily.

3.6 with C1E and EIST, idles at 2.4. 1.47v in bios, 1.42 at load, 1.3 (VID) at idle.
In other words, my GO Q6600 idles at its full rated speed and default voltage with temps in the mid 30s. When I need the horsepower it kicks up to a 50 percent overclock. With all four cores loaded in S&M the max is 66c, Prime95 rarely breaks 60.
Life is good.

All Speedstep/C2/C2/EIST/all thermal throttling options are turned off. Gigabyte P965-DS3 Rev1.0 F10 BIOS. Rig runs 24/7 and has run perfectly for the past 15 months.
