personally, I think watching sports is a total waste of time. (yes I am a guy, and thats one of the reasons my wife married me)
I wish there were more guys like myself who dont waste there lives and promote these overpaid, d1psh1ts.

I do not 'follow' sports either. I agree with the people who have said that 'watching' is a waste of time. I do 'Run' (I am supposed to be outside now... I'm getting lazy :roll: ). I did enjoy watching Grand Prix (auto racing), but the coverage was lousy and spotty, so I stopped watching.

I guess that I should mention that I don't watch TV. Not at all. I occasionally will sit with the kids for a cartoon or two, but that is it. I don't know if that makes me biased. Anyway, why does it matter if a guy doesn't watch sports? Are you so into watching sports that this will be an issue?

Let me also take the time to say that I feel that most people need a hobby. I don't care what it is.... Computer games, Cars, Sports, Etc... Anything.... (yes, I left that one open for a reason....). If a guy doesn't have some sort of hobby or 'release', then that would worry me.

Ehhh, not too strange. I'm a huge sports guy but it's because I've been brought up watching baseball, basketball, and football. If I hadn't had that influence when I was younger who knows? I'm a competitive person so that also adds to it. Same could be said for cars or fishing or hunting or any "guy" activities. I think it just depends on your upbringing.

I can understand if someone just isn't into sports and doesn't get enjoyment out of it, but I'm not buying the "I don't have any free time and it's a waste of time" argument. How can you not have time to watch sports on TV, yet you have enough time to rack up 10,000+ posts?

Just be straightforward and say you find watching sports boring. Some people don't get enjoyment out of posting on internet forums. I do, but they may not.

You nailed it. Basically it is about a bunch of guys on the couch drinking beer, eating pizza and watching TV. It's more of a male bonding thing than anything else and it's usually a good time. What's not to love: Pizza+Beer!

When you go to a game it is about eating hot dogs, drinking beer and not really being able to see anything on the field. It's all more of an atmosphere thing. I won't lie, I do enjoy being out there eating, drinking and being in the midst of all that energy but that's just what it is because it is next to impossible to actually watch the game without announcements and those big jumbotrons.

Would I bother watching the game if I'm alone? No.

played football throughout high school...which was last year. i never cared for sports, i was pretty good though haha. I dont watch them on TV, I dont wear paraphenalia or anything... CS > IRL SPORTS.
