Yes you've got that right. Conservatives have criticized the media for making her into such a sensation but I don't think they understand what makes someone a media sensation. They think it's because she's far left and that fits with what they see as the media's bias. Yet there are other far left pols who don't get this attention. She got it first and foremost because she came in as a darkhorse and defeated an establishment pol with a long history. That itself was legitimately newsworthy.
And yes, also because she's pretty. Anyone who hasn't figured that out about the media doesn't really understand the media at all. People like AOC get lots of attention because they sell newspapers and advertising hits on websites.

In a way I have to give the OP praise. He and I obviously have different ideas of how to move America forward, but I give him credit for putting America above Israel. Glad to see him embrace anti-Israel politicians for his view of what is best for America, at least the OP doesn't have "dual loyalties."
