If you dig through the site the image is on thats the explanation they give. I did think of that explanation on my own but only after about 5 minutes and only because I was specifically looking for a reason for it to be pulled. Its a little bit ridiculous if you ask me that they were pulled for that reason.

Good god, how can people be so stupid?!?! I found it rather weird when they started to remove WTC from movies and such, but THIS??? This doesn't border on lunacy, this marches right over that border! Yes, the WTC-attack was a bad thing, but there IS such thing as "over-sensitivity"!

at anyrate, i saw the story before the pic, so i could vaguely see it if i tilt my head and close all my eyes....
my buddy, who didn't know, at first try to see if there was a hidden penis, or breasts in there and couldn't figure out why it was pulled until i told him the story.

I'm not a big fan of Starbucks, but the Tazoberry one (the red one) is pretty good. Very refreshing on a hot day. I want to try the new citrus one.

Took me a whole half a second to figure out why some people may have a problem with it.

I'm not from New York. I didn't loose anyone in the events. And I'm certainly more callous than a lot of people so I'm not the person to judge whether or not it was in bad "taste".

I agree. I don't see how anyone could cause a fuss over this if the word "Collapse" wasn't in the ad. It really doesn't even make sense.... "collapse into cool"? What are they getting at? Why a dragonfly and flowers? Show somebody laying in a bed or falling into a pool, and give the "Collapse into cool" line, and it works.... not with butterflies in a field. It simply doesn't make sense. Not that most ads do anyway....

As was stated in the article, Starbucks marketing likely used "collapse" for the alliteration. Collapse... Cool... it's more catchy.
