From watching the clips they show of Cramer on TDS, I wouldn't take advice from that guy on anything. He looks and behaves like a crackhead. If he told me that fire was hot, I'd have to stick my hand in to confirm it.

If he tells you the fire is hot tune in the next week and he'll tell you it's cold. That's how Jim Cramer works. Jim Cramer has successfully predicted all events in human history with 100% accuracy since 1900 including the sinking of the Titantic.
He also predicted the exact opposite of those events and the arrival of the Titantic at New York harbor in April of 1912.

As opposed to your predictions?

And what's wrong with my predictions? Mine consist of simple math that a fifth grader should be able to understand.
100 days...are we speaking about Jupiter days?

What are you talking about?

"We are within 100 days of financial doomsday"
"The smaller banks will soon begin to fall like dominoes"
"I believe we are very close to an economic disaster.
Within a few months. "

How much longer?

Are you joking? lol:laugh: What do you think has been happening for the last six months? Is this merely a recession?

Yes, it's merely a (deep) recession. We'll be back to positive GDP, by the latest, by 3rd quarter 2010. Probably sooner. Assuming Obama & Co. doesn't do more to screw it up.

edit: 2010 was what I meant to type.

So Cramer is mcowen?

No, Dave has a brain, and a heart.

Why must everyone here pick on Dave?

I think Jon will make the same accusations he made in his bits, but he won't be overhanded about it. He'll give Cramer the opportunity to admit his error or make a defense case without too much berating or embarrassment. It'll be similar to how he has interviewed various Neo-Cons over the years, not backing down, but not being too much a bully at the same time. Jon is actually pretty good at strongly disagreeing with a guest yet making the guest feel comfortable about it at the same time. Jon isn't O'Reilly.

Cramer seems to be a bad Advisor, but from the interviews I have seen him do over the years he seems like an alright guy. I certainly don't think Jon will make him Mope like he was on other CNBC shows he appeared on after this situation began. He looked so dejected.

That's a horseshit rumor. The truth is, no guest will come on his show unless they're assured in advance of fairly light treatment. That's because both Stewart and any talking head he has on are BOTH primarily in the entertainment business. They need each other, Stewart for ratings, the guest for exposure.

It was exactly the same when Michael Moore went on O'Reilly. The ground rules were carefully worked out in advance. Each was using the other to further his entertainment career.

See below for the KEY difference:

Actually tucker was not on stewart's show, so it will be diff.

Yeah, KEY difference. Carlson was not on Stewart's show or vice-versa, so there was no quid pro quo compact worked out by their underlings before the show, and so Stewart was FREE to go after that lame ass twerp.

Stick to Rock Band, Boober. Coincidence that rhymes with loser? I think not.

edit: ROFL, a quick search shows you actually do play those games. But hey, you admitted yourself you "need new friends", so you're aware of what's going on.

Now put down the 360 and get a job this year kiddo.

It's a comedy show. I think this is at least partly a put up job. They'll probably crack up the audience with a good round of give and take and shake hands at the end.

Like John said yesterday anyone who's expecting a fight is going to be very disappointed. Beyond the fact that John is respectful, even in disagreement, he genuinely has no problem with Cramer and Cramer also respects John.

some excerpts:
On manipulating the market: "A lot of times when I was short at my hedge fund, and I was positioned short, meaning I needed it down, I would create a level of activity before hand that could drive the futures,"

On falsely creating the impression a stock is down (what he calls "fomenting"): "You can't foment. That's a violation... But you do it anyway because the SEC doesn't understand it." He adds, "When you have six days and your company may be in doubt because you are down, I think it is really important to foment."

On the truth: "What's important when you are in that hedge fund mode is to not be doing anything that is remotely truthful, because the truth is so against your view - it is important to create a new truth to develop a fiction," Cramer advises. "You can't take any chances."

watching the daily show and Jon is using this clip to catch Cramer out and Cramer is groveling!!

Jon Stewart impresses again, but then it really wasn't a workout for him. It was almost painful to see Cramer sample that piping hot Le Hoist de la Petard in real time, but I get the feeling he was a little glad Stewart wasn't going as rough on him as he very well could have.

Ouch!

Jon beat Jim Cramer up pretty bad. I was actually embarrassed for the guy.
Much more satisfying than I had anticipated.
