I'm going to be looking for great deals on 500-512GB SSD drives and 3TB low power drives so I can rebuild the NAS/SAN in my lab I use to run virtual machines on and serve up file shares.

I'm looking for opportunity to knock. There are a couple of things I'd like to replace in the kitchen. I have one of those really big electric roasting pans/crock pot things, whatever they're called, and it's a really cheap one. Thin steel, which meant a little bump bent it. And, then it started rusting where that little bend was. Also, I don't feel like cleaning the shop vacs that I've got overhead in storage in the barn, not to mention, try to figure out where to buy the filters for them. So, a shop vac. And, I saw a nice price on impact bits for an impact drill over at Lowes, so I might jump on a couple sets of those, if I have the opportunity (and if upon looking at the sets, they aren't filled with a lot of garbage I don't need.)

Plus, for the past few years, I keep saying I'm going to get a new television. LED or plasma. 60" range. Though, I don't watch television (but I do watch movies, though generally on a laptop, tablet, or desktop).

Oh, and if I see a really good deal on a gas stove (with the conversion orifices to convert it to propane), I need one of those for the apartment, and an apartment sized fridge. Maybe flooring/carpeting/bathroom fixtures if a good deal.

I doubt I'd see a deal on a rifle with a scope for hunting deer, but that too, if a deal pops up.
edit: impulse purchase - got a 7mm-08. Coincidentally, my younger son called me 2 hours later after I had just gotten home from sighting in the rifle. "Hey Dad... " He was looking at the exact same model of rifle, because it was on sale - $100 less than I had paid.

I usually don't care too much for Black Friday. This year, I am looking for good deals for a TV, a TV stand, and a sofa. Maybe not at the same time but I am looking for something decent.
From what I've seen, there will be a 40" LED TV for $178 but I haven't seen the other stuff.

Besides the local furniture stores, where else is a good place for a small couch? TV stand?

You might try Big Lots; they have some decent furniture. Good thing about furniture is that you can inspect it thoroughly before buying. Big Lots has some promotion 3 or 4 times per year where everything in the store is 20% off. Its connected with their Buzz Club I believe

I'd like an ipad air from target with $100 GC. I doubt I'll get it, since I refuse to stand in lines and won't make it to target until 8:00 am.

Otherwise, I'll peruse Walmart and target in-store see what's what, and of course camp the amazon lightning deals and resell any spectacular item I get like a $99 32" TV

$100 Vita mentioned above I would murder for but I am sure I won't get it.

Another store I always peruse, every year without fail, is Lowes. Even later in the morning their BF deals are still going strong, and some are great, like a $180 cordless set for $99 that is normally $160-180, or a $99 table saw. They also have the 2D LED maglite last two years for $15, which is 50% off.

I want a better TV than the one I got for BF2012. It was a Haier 55" LCD, which has the most horrible input lag in the entire world. Nay, entire universe. Makes everything look like a bad dub, with how out of sync the video is to the audio. "PC mode" is conveniently grayed out and not selectable.

That's a pretty shady ripoff, turning off the PC mode that makes the TV actually useable. Sounds like a good candidate for Craig's list, and you may even make a few bucks on your purchase price for all your trouble and aggravation.

I'm looking for a cheap TV either 40"-50" for another PC gaming rig. If I get a 40" it's going on the gaming rig. If I get a 50" it's getting swapped out with the dining room 46" LCD. Kinda looking at the Target Westinghouse 50" which is 120hz. The Element 40" at Walmart is only a 60hz.

And whatever I get is going to get an add on warranty with it, since returning a defective TV will likely be impossible and many of these cheapo TVs only have a 3-6 month factory warranty.

George Takei has been pushing a 60" Sharp, a TV stand and a nice looking sofa and ottoman combo at Rooms To Go for $1999. "Oh My"

same for me ^^

in my dream world: a smoking deal on one of the new 4k TVs; I saw one at Frys a couple of weeks back and there was a more noticeable difference over 1080 than I expected

If you sit 3 feet from the TV there is.

Unless you are planning to use a 4k LED TV as a PC monitor or you're getting an 80" plus LED TV there is no noticable difference at the normal seating distance of 8-10 feet for most TV viewing. 4k looks great on a 120" projector, too. But then, you're not talking about a 4k LED TV.

Yeah... I think that we're going to have to wait until next year for the 4K "Ultra HD" sets to get reasonably priced. Perhaps there will be some actual 4K content to display on them as well

And don't hold your breath for any local over the air HDTV stations to broadcast in 4k anytime in the near future, either. But maybe 5-10 years off you might see a few. Most stations already spent a small fortune just to go digital fairly recently, and over the air HDTV is doing good to send 1080i. The vast majority I receive only send out 480i-720p which looks pretty crappy on my 60" Panny Plasma.

Not to mention, most cable and satellite providers simply don't have enough bandwidth without adding tons of compression or dropping stations to properly transmit a clear 4k signal at this time.

You have got to score a 60" Panny Plasma somewhere before they go extinct forever. I found a basic one in March for $699! at Fry's and I had to get one for that price. It's not a smart one, nor does it natively do 3D, but the input lag is minimal compared to the others, which was one reason I snagged it up. And I added a Android emulator dongle to it for about $70 and I got a smarter TV than it would have been otherwise, and it's much more flexible and upgradable this way.

I'm looking for an android + web controllable tank with a camera. I want one that you can log into from outside your own wifi network.

Yeah... but it doesn't come with the keyboard cover. I guess that I'll have to wait a bit longer for a Woot style closeout sale.

Yeah, I noticed that too. $350 is just a lukewarm deal for a Surface RT and Type Cover 2.

1) 1000W+ PSU. Hopefully 1250W. Running 2 Titans in SLI heavily overlocked has overloaded my Corsair 850W PSU. Hoping to pay no more than $150W for a high quality one.

2) 3x 7950s for hopefully around $150 each. I'll take the 850W PSU, a spare motherboard I have, spare RAM, spare case, and purchase a $40 G1610, and build a new LiteCoin miner around it. This will be the last of my hardware investments for GPU mining. I've got about $1500 of pure profit now from mining LTC this year thanks to the recent bubble.

3) Portable external hard drive. They've become small enough to be convenient to carry around.

I'd like to snag a couple more Roku 3's. They've been on sale for $85 on & off lately, I'm wondering if they'll be that.

I also need a cheap gas grill. Home Depot has basic ones for like $129, so I don't know if they'll go any lower or not.
