By the way, as someone who has spent a fair amount of time in cemeteries recently, almost nobody reads what you've written on your tombstone. I think cemeteries are the biggest waste of land ever.

LOL, I didn't see you're post as I was quoting someone from the 1st page but agree 100%, how often do people really go to the graves of their family/friends that have passed.

i actually ride my bike to the local graveyards pretty often

it's a nice place to take a contemplative walk and i know where all the graves of my local-living ancestors are, some as old as the 1820's.

I'm hoping they don't find my body. When the time comes I'll just ride my boat out towards the pacific horizon. Whenever it runs outta gas, I'll stand on the edge and blow my brains out, falling into the sea.

I'll leave a nice note, though.

Actually, there's probably some nullifying clause in my life insurance policy about that...

Not a waste, really since it's just temporary. Cemeteries mostly disappear over time.

I've always said I want a gravestone that's carved to look like my ass with an inscription that reads " All those who disagree with me kiss here".

A Funeral is a colossal waste of money. Just cremate my remains and use the funeral costs to take a vacation.

Cremate. I'd say that I don't care where my ashes end up, but since my ashes are nutrients for nature to grow with, I want them spread at Letchworth State Park.

All our times have come
Here but now they're gone
Seasons don't fear the reaper
Nor do the wind, the sun or the rain... we can be like they are
Come on baby... don't fear the reaper
Baby take my hand... don't fear the reaper
We'll be able to fly... don't fear the reaper
Baby I'm your man...

I'm also in the "no tombstone" group. No sense cluttering up some dirt with a rock with a dead guy's name on it.

No need to have any fancy words of remembrance. Just a simple marker. And Mayne to watch over my tomb.
