Why is that? As opposed as I am to eco-nuts, the one thing that is obvious is that our bodies are supposed to be eaten by scavengers, bacteria and insects when we die. It's not supposed to be locked up in an airtight tomb or vault for 1000+ years. Our bodies should be used as fertilizer, at the very least.

At any rate, since all that is illegal, just burn my worthless body and scatter the ashes at will. Taking up a 10x12 plot of land for countless years is stupid. I can think of so many better uses for land than that.

Lots have at least two feet of leeway inbetween them. Most have four feet. The vault is at least four feet wide and eight feet long. Plus, you need room for a monument.

I don't plan on having a grave. I'm going to be cremated and plan on having my ashes scattered. I suppose i'll have a memorial plaque somewhere, but that would be about it. Name and birthdate and death date is all i would want.
