Jitterbug is a version of swing, a slightly more exciting and acrobatic version. At least in my case.

My parents were very good Jitterbuggers and swing dancers in their day (back when it was all the rage during and after WWII). In fact, they met at a dance class where my father was a part time instructor working his way to his doctorate.

A little hint: Your set ups for the moves are far too obvious and staged. You need to work on making it all more fluid.

Man, you should have seen my parents all the way into their 50s doing that. It was cool.

Looks good. But to me (who knows jack about dancing), it seems too many movement, one complicated movement after another, that takes the joy/artistics out of dancing. Perhaps that's why in figure skating competition, they have technical score and artistic score.

In some aspects you have a point... but in this particular routine I was going for maximum shock value to a very large crowd in the shortest time possible. That being said, I did put many floor moves into the routine, which are not considered stunts. It is good to have a balance of both.

That's my Swing dance team from University of Utah practicing their dance for a military ball on Saturday night.

Anyway, I dragged my date to the dance floor to swing away when the military Jazz band started to play. We were the first couple on the dance floor and the crowd gave us an applause for either 1)our courage 2)our dancing ability. I've been asked to dance by at least 5 girls that night. Who can blame them, they can?t resist a muscular guy in his sexy uniform and can dance like the devil.

Swing dancing is so mid-90's. You guys also should get appropriate outfits. The dudes should have casual suits, and the ladies dresses.
