Yes but personal ads have this magic power to decrease everyones size by an order of magnitude or two.
I like to use this decryption table when I see ads anywhere:

Thin: normal sized
Regular: 5-10 extra pounds
Big-boned: a little thick but still good to go
Heavyset / thick: That's not a 6-pack, it's a keg
Large: This person has hired a contractor to reinforce the foundation of their house.

heavyset and fat are different.

Heavyset is just a large frame/build ... It has nothing to do with fat content. Somebody who is heavyset has Broad shoulders, a large upper body etc ... (not a gut or double chins really though ... as those have nothing to do with being heavyset)

Now there are lots of people who are both Fat and Heavyset, and lots of fat people think they are heavyset, when really they are just fat. But fat and heavyset are completely different things.

I dated a girl who described herself as being "big-boned". After seeing her for the first time it was obvious she had one heck of a big stomach bone as well as a big ass bone.
