What does it feel like to be shot?

One of the biggest fears I have is of getting shot and dying. Is there anyone here that can tell me what it feels like? Is it as painful as it sounds/looks?

no, it doesn't hurt at all, feels like when you get a little prick or cut, nothin big....it just "looks" like it hurts

Well I havent died, but of all the ways to check out, being shot (depending on where and with what like HappyPuppy says) is one of the better I would think.

Personally I think being crushed under the wheels of a vehicle and dying as a result would suck more.

Nah, sure it's intensely painful, but it's all over with too fast. How about dysyntery (sp)?

If I had to make the choice I would choose being blown up to all other options. After experiencing said option twice I can personally attest to the fact that it is absolutely painless, unless it doesn't kill you! :Q
