What does it mean if your hair looks better when you haven't washed it for a couple days?

i think it looks a lot better, aside from the fact that there are little dust things in there. i mean like the shape of it... looks kind of tussled.... is there a way to get this without using gel or spray with clean hair?

Hehe.. I LOOVE tussleable hair... so cute and then hangs down again.

Its just the oils in the head that come from the roots. Its like natural body hair gel when you dont SHOWER for 3 DAYS. WTH man you smell, hurry up and get scrubbing boy.

no i don't smell. you see, i engage in very little physical activity, so there isn't much sweat or anything else that would make me smell. for example, i spent about 16 hours today sleeping

see but i can't get the authentic tussled look if i use gel or spray because then i just look like one of those azn ricers or something. so... should i put the gel/spray in my hair at night before i go to sleep? but then my pillow will be icky

There's a line of products from Tigi called Bed Head that will achieve the same effect without your head smelling like ass.
Since everyone's hair is different, you might want to experiment with a couple different products in the line to see what's best for you.

Short Sexy Hair is another good brand..one in particular that might achieve the desired effect is Slept In Creme. It works great for that tousled look without being too greasy or crunchy, plus it smells awesome.

*edit*
Don't use gel, spray, or pomade. Those are all high-hold products that will just make your hair look stiff and nasty.

If I were you, I'd try these two things first:
1. Short Sexy Hair - Slept In Creme
2. Tigi Bed Head - A Hair Stick for Cool People

The second one holds FOREVER and IMO smells pretty good, but is basically a wax stick so your hair will be oily and you'll have to shampoo like twice to get it all out.

i dunno, i can't smell my own hair... i know that the smell isn't bad enough to reach my nose if i use conditioner or some nice shampoo my hair will still end up all straight and freshly-washed looking. so yea, i guess i have to try that "slept-in" stuff

hehe yea i'm a big drugstore.com fan myself... i just sent them an email asking if they could order the slept-in creme. 18 bucks is a bit steep... meh. i've spent like 70 bucks there in the past month on various stuff :Q

hey i found this site that carries both and at cheaper prices: spiralhaircase.com

from what i can tell this site is legit (i checked bbb.org).

It is very expensive. I baught some.. I really didn't like it. It was hard to get a happy medium out of it.. it was too.. sticky.., I mean.. you had to wash it out of your hair before you go to bed.

Wouldn't use it again.. the stick was over 25 dollars.

I dunno where you guys are buying your stuff... "Slept In Creme" can be found at most drugstores for less than $12, and the hair stickshould definitely be less than $17..go to a local hair salon..almost any one should have it.

yes thats the idea. when you take a shower only shampoo every other day or every 3 days and you will get teh desired effect. getting it wet dosent matter. You are just letting the natural oils stay in your hair which is actually better then washing it every day

I use those EXACT same products, except I use the Tigi Manipulator instead. My friend bought me some slept in creme so I'm using that right now and It's not bad. I don't think I would know what to do with a wax stick... You just roll it around on your head?

If you're looking for hair products for cheap, try Ebay. You can usually get it for 50% off retail. That's where I get all my hair stuff....

There is one simple rule: if you aren't using gel on your hair, it most likely looks horrible. Unless it's either really long or really short.

What you need is a pomade, which is basically grease for hair to replace the oils you are washing out. It should be cheaper than $18. And don't use too much.

I use spray . American Crew spray .

IMHO American Crew makes good stying products.

I saw Tigi Bedhead at Sams, what is it, a wax?

what the hell is a hair wax? i'm familiar with gels, sprays, spray gels, mousee, pomenade, but not wax.

which is he safest for your hair and which gives it good volume?
