VirtualDub to Edit Captured or Downloaded Xvid or DviX MPeg4/PCM AVI's or MPeg2/Ac3.mpg.Thanks for sharing. Do any of you have training materials for video editing?
Then expand into something like MeGUI Encoder or put a little money out for TMGEnc Video Mastering Works to Edit MP4's FLV's and MKV's.
MPeg2/AC3.mpg and MPeg4/PCM.AVI files are still the easiest and fastest to Edit Movies but they require large Volume NTFS Partitions (At least a 1GB NTFS Playground Partition for editing and re-encoding per Movie to modern compact MP4/MKV or FLV formats)
Buy a TV Capture Card like a Hauppagge and capture 5 min Music Videos to practice on.
You will eventually learn how to DeMux, Edit, Mux and recognize about any Video Format and Encode Videos into about any Resolution, Bitrate and Container you wish.
Check out: Doom9.org
It's not the biggest and most expensive program (Primerier for example) that works but a series of smaller GNU Video/Audio apps that will get to where you want to go. Experiment and build your own Studio.
I've been Encoding and Editing Video since Win 95B.
I'm talking about hours of Video.so far every one of our shots for the scenes have been under 30 seconds. I'm asking more about what film editing software is worth investing in.
There a great number of Movie Encoders out there and their files are aviable to Download and they really know what they're doing.

Suppose I'm going to get banned again.
