What first world problem did you have today?

I did some impromptu duct work, just wanted to add a small 3" supply to my furnace room since I just got a hybrid water heater installed so want to at least get a bit of air circulation in there.

Without thinking I just decided to use a hole saw. I did not realize the mess that would make and I got metal bits all over my hair. I used a magnet to get the worst of it out lol.

it's basically heat in an area that matters less for comfort (the basement) so it's making use of that heat, basically. Although when my basement temp started to get below 15 it didn't seem to be operating efficiently, so it will take some experimenting to get the best out of it. This will be better once I have the wood stove going as well.

This will be better once the wood stove is working, and once I'm done the server room hvac, as the fans involved in both of those are setup to work together and will essentially create an air loop and the water heater will be in that path.

The whole reddit system's broken, and it carried over to lemmy. Voting is a shit system. It's used as the [Agree] or [Disagree] button, and that's not what it's meant for. I don't downvote anything, anywhere. I also don't use reddit anymore aside from one niche community I check every so often for news.
