Was never like this before, it's crazy how things changed in the past few years. Hopefully things change after the next election but not getting my hopes up, I think the country is too far gone at this point.
Politicians can't save you from your own community's culture.

Isn't Nunavut kinda crime-frequent and of the severe variety? I know your place isn't there but it's isolated and shit happens.

The "isolated areas" version of crime usually more close knit and neighbors being savvy bitchy drug guzzling alphas. Farmers and businesspeople spawning out of those places may work hard, but they can fuck themselves for being pieces of shit.
You got booze
You got drugs
You got no monitoring.
Perfect for breeding a criminal spirit.
Nunavut is 2M km²

No, but they are the ones that cause it. Trudeau's catch and release program is mostly to blame. These people should all be in jail but when they get caught they're just released the same day. It's widespread everywhere now.

Has it really started just with Justin Trudeau or had the Canadian collective devoured and accepted a softer approach decades before?

Nothing more entertaining than non-criminal in a democracy go all La Clemenza di Tito on criminals because of psychopathic sob stories.

Timmins was safe before you were born. It is obviously your fault, Damien Thorn.

I thought Canadian politics consisted of arguing over whether milk should remain in bags or move to cartons.

I hate Windows update. Every time I turn my Win 11 laptop on there is some egregiously large fucking update that takes 30 minutes to install and has no visible impact on anything.

About to order Wing Stop, and I already know the fries will be undercooked. Their website has an "extra crispy" option when you order. I've ordered 5 times now and always check it. And the fries are never even close to crispy. I don't understand, everything on their menu, even the corn's deep fried. How the hell do they not know how to cook fries properly? And I can't go there to order and tell a person face to face "extra extra extra crispy please!" because they're the slowest fast food place I've ever been to. And ordering there will result in me waiting for an hour. And the fries will still not come out extra crispy. I understand not everyone likes crispy fries, but if ordered extra crispy they come out how regular fries should be made.

It's not hard to leave them in an extra 60 seconds. And the fact they come out soft and almost soggy when I check the extra crispy box makes me wonder if they'd even be fully cooked if I left that option unchecked. That said the Legendary Lakers Garlic boneless wings are pretty damn tasty.

*EDIT*

I CALLED IT, they have no crisp what-so-ever. And it's not like they were in a styrofoam box where steam was making them soggy. They're in a dish with no lid in a grocery store paper bag. There's no reason they shouldn't be crispy.

I'm working on a project out of a client's offices. The client owns the building, no landlord. The office restroom (a multi-banger) has motion sensor activated lights which time out after ~3 minutes. The motion detector doesn't detect people in the stalls. So after three minutes, the lights go out and it is pitch dark. The client's employees have adjusted by always bring their phones with them to the bathroom, some bring flashlights. Suggesting that maybe they replace the motion sensor is met with shrugs.

With LEDs it doesn't even cost all that much to have the lights on.

I forgot to get celery from aldi, so I had to go to walmart to pick some up, a bit out of my way picking up fuel for the chipper. Pretty minor problem I guess, but going to walmart always gets my anxiety level up. Not a fan.
