Shit on his desk. Surely you carry some type of extra wipes.
This was at a grocery store and the guy was an employee. The guy rose in my esteem though. He was sitting on the can, eating chips, and watching videos on his phone. From the narration it was clear that he was watching training videos for the nearby mine. So he was prepping to jump ship while on the clock.

If only we could see the look on his face if you pinched one out, right outside the stall door.

At the bottom of the freezer you can see if its iced up also. This site is very helpful if you havnt found it already. You'll also need to program the mainboard for your specific fridge the number is on a sticker in the fridge compartment.

I replaced the main board last night and I think that fixed it! The fridge wasn't running when I woke up this morning, so it actually cycled off for a change.

Thanks for the link; I hadn't seen that before. I'll run through it just to make sure nothing else is busted.

Discovered some of the podcasts I subscribe to had stopped downloading new episodes. Seems that their 'feeds' had suddenly changed to a new address. Had to fire up iTunes (not the music software I normally use) and resubscribe to them, and then export the new subscriptions (with the new feed address) and import them to media monkey.

Made more difficult by the fact that iTunes has long ago stopped working properly for me (any attempt to subscribe to a podcast in it just gives the error message 'iTunes store is temporarily unavailable, try again later' and I have to use a workaround of finding a way to extract the feed address from iTunes then subscribe to it via Media Monkey)

I don't really understand any of this, so not sure why the podcasts suddenly changed their feed address, nor why iTunes seems to be permanently broken for me (don't normally use it, except for occasionally initially subscribing to a podcast - uninstalling and reinstalling didn't seem to fix it, and it also periodically freezes up).

My automatic icemaker in my Fridge makes 6 or 8 cubes several times a day. I have a large mug, may 20 ounce or more that takes a dozen or more cubes and I refill it several times a day on these hot days. After a few hot days, I'm down to about one mug full of ice in the basket. I may even run down to none.

Over a few weeks of cool days when I wasn't using ice, I let the bin fill, then dumped it into plastic shopping bags and put those in the deep freeze. I've already tapped about half of one of those bags. Still plenty left so no real issue just yet.

I also have some old style ice cube trays that make about a dozen cubes at a time, so I can resort to those when necessary.

I was going to watch a series on disney+ last night until I realized there were 10 commercial breaks during the 1 hour 18 minute program.

Got a site that dropped since there's a power outage and the batteries went flat. Every tech I call is on vacation. They just let everyone go on vacation at same time for that whole region I guess. Nice.

I wonder if I should put that in the flash... lol. "No ETR, all techs on vacation".

The phone I wanted to use as a bedroom phone apparently has borked bluetooth. Not sure what's going on with it. I'll play with it a bit, but right now I have my alternate choice hooked up. I might also try setting up voltage based charging where it doesn't need bluetooth. Always something...

Otherwise, my new Chargie dongles are working pretty well. Cool device.

Several years ago, I bought a few pair of work boots for a decent price from a place that was shutting down. The last pair has been sitting on a shelf since. Pulled them down today for the first time. Put them of, good fit, comfortable. Within the first 20 minutes, the entire sole fell off of one and separated from the other. Apparently the glue dried up and degraded.

Brushed some contact cement on them, so I guess we'll see what happens after it cures.

I was playing with my new firewall from work which is temporarily connected to my LAN (existing firewall is still active) and did something and now I accidentally locked myself out. Won't know what the issue is until I go home.

I bought a couple pairs of a favorite sandal from an ebay seller years ago. First pair lasted a couple of years, second pair had a borked sole...huge hollow spot inside. Took less than 30 days to wear off the thin layer of rubber...then nothing.

I bought a new saw blade from Amazon. Opened the package, and two of the teeth had chips in them. I opted to get a replacement. Got it yesterday, and two of the teeth had (smaller) chips in them.

I don't think I'm going to order saw blades from Amazon again...

This is how effed up our housing market is in podunk SC. Guy I know bought a 1k sqft block house for $8900, in the hood, in 2019. Rehabbed it himself and did a really good jerb. $40 to 50k costs. Just sold for $225k...still in the hood. Happy for him but dayum our market is fucked for locals.

The market is nuts, even in my small city.

There's a house a few blocks from mine that is basically the same house as mine and in the same state as mine when I bought it for 165k, and this house is going for over 300k. I've been inside and it's very similar to what mine was like when I bought it. Same type of flooring, doors, fixtures etc. It needs a lot of work to bring it up to date. I put 30k into mine when I bought it but that same amount of work now would probably cost 100k due to inflation.

Dreamed I was vaccuum cleaning (while trying not to suck up into the hoover a pet mouse that was running around the room). Woke to realise the noise of the vaccum cleaner was actually my tinnitus.

Was placing a mobile order for Wendy's the other night, something wasn't working in the app and it kept kicking me out of the cart. I managed to clear the cart so I could start over. But when I did this, the BOGO Baconator coupon was gone.

It mysteriously popped back up today, so I ordered tonight. They're open 'till Midnight, I got there at 11:40 and they were already closed. I might never get 2 Pretezel bun Baconators at this point. And I can only imagine getting this order I never got resolved will end up being more work than it's worth. Wendy's has some of the best fast food, mixed with some of the worst fucking service.

But, BOGO for Baconators is a hellova deal.

A warning message now appears at the top of one of our database screens:

Functionally, this means that using the < and > characters in an unrelated database miraculously destroys the payroll audit trail used for client billing. WTF? Time spent posting the warning should have been spent scrubbing the data inputs.

View attachment 95968
From this morning's email:

This message is to inform database users of an issue. We have had two instances where a user has entered a ??? in the tracking field. In both cases, it caused a Server Exception error and the project was completely inaccessible. The development team was able to remove the ??? from the backend of the application but this takes considerable time.

Please do not enter any special characters, i.e. (?, !, @, #, %) in the tracking field. If you do not know the tracking number, please leave the field blank. It is not a required field and can be left blank in the event it is unknown. The only special characters allowed in the tracking field are the period (.) and the hyphen/dash (-).
