so you're gonna take them up on that hot deal right?

have you already found a replacement vehicle or going on the hunt for one?
No, plan is to take it in for a second opinion, I've just had a lot of life going on and haven't coordinated being down a vehicle for a time.

Had thieves break into our cable yard and steal reels of cables on my watch the other night. Not my job to do security so won't get in trouble for that but still pisses me off how thieves continue to get away with their BS of causing thousands in damages to individuals and businesses. As much as I'd love to catch them in the act, I'd be the one that gets in trouble if I do anything. The law basically protects those scumbags while telling us tough luck every time we're made victims.

A local sporting store also got broken into recently, and one of my uncle's car also got broken into last night. This stuff is basically nightly now.

Car runs fine, but it is "due for 60,000 mile maintenance." Total cost for preventative maintenance package - $1,000.

Drove 30 miles into town today for one basic reason. To stop by the bank. Also made a list of other stops/errands.

Got back home.

Guess what I forgot to do?

My favorite saw was making a weird noise today, so I wanted to take the clutch off to see what was going on. My piston stop was too big, so I tried sticking a cord in through the sparkplug hole. That got cut, piston still moved. I then tried a Vbelt through the exhaust port, and that got cut(for obvious reasons to people that know). I was tired, hot, irritated, and I didn't think it through. So, long story short, the clutch is still attached, and I have a piece of Vbelt in the cylinder. I'm done fucking with it for now. I ordered a new saw($500) that'll be here by Friday, and I'll fix the old saw when I get the motivation.

I'm fucking tired of everything...

You should get an electric one as part of your arsenal just to try it out, they're actually pretty decent. Could use as a limbing saw at least if you find it doesn't cut it for the larger stuff. No fuss, just pop battery in and it works. I have a Greenworks 80v 18" saw that I use as my daily for falling, bucking etc. They have a 20" one now too.

The trees here are not as big as what you're dealing with though.

I've thought about getting a battery tophandle to keep by the chipper to take limbs off that are too big to fit. One problem with battery saws is they're heavy. My above saw(echo 2511T) has a powerhead weight <6#. Makes it really easy to carry around, both in-tree, and for ground stuff at work. I've just been carrying it on the job I've been on the last couple weeks cause my pistol belt's already overloaded with stuff, but I can clip it to my pistolbelt and it isn't overly heavy.

My Webhosting expired, when I signed up they were having the usual almost free for the 1st year special. I think I paid $29 for 12 months and it included a domain. I totally forgot about it. The price to renew is $179 damn dollars. And all I can think about is when I signed up I hadn't been a cheap ass they had a deal for 3 years that was $150 I think.

This isn't just a 1stworldproblem but a 1worldproblem for someone who's a broke ass.

I'm revisiting a website project that I abandoned a few years ago and I can't figure out WTH is going on with that code. Nothing jives, the sql tables don't match, nothing works and I'm even finding code that I don't even remember writing. It's a pretty big mess and I might actually redo lot of it from scratch as it will probably be easier.

So it seems to me I lost the SQL structure of everything. No idea how that happened but it looks like the database got overwritten in dev by the one in live. Not a huge deal but still a pain because I have to recreate the tables. I have backups but I would need to figure out when this happened and it's just going to be easier to rebuild the tables than trying to find the right backup version. On the plus side I replaced all the core code with the latest version of my reusable scripts, which also has a setup feature that generates all the basic account related SQL tables, and that went smoother than I thought. Done messing with this for tonight, the rest will be easier to do from home.

Mine thinks I'm her personal secretary, too. "Do x, y and z for me."

Uh, I'm at work.

"So."

Taking the recliner tonight.

It's a scam. Just change your oil and you'll be fine.
Agree with this. It's like your teeth. Just clean every 6 months (you know you don't anyway) with no need to do anything else unless something actually feels wrong.

Isn't this a good thing (at least once in a while)? You want the structure/tables/views to match prod so your code will work right after pushing it from dev. Not sure why you have to recreate tables in dev... unless you're talking about dev-only tables that shouldn't exist in prod and have disappeared. Why are there dev-only tables?

My new BMW that I have ordered isn't being built yet, and I'm hopefully selling my current vehicle tonight so I'll be stuck driving an older 2012 Ford F150 for a few weeks yet. I had to have a blood draw this morning, and the nice young lady kept missing the vein, up until she hit a tendon and another person had to come try on my other arm. My arm is still tingling a bit.
