Local Uni has short classes for us old peeps. Excel, security, email....The one I wanted was about our microbiome, 2hrs, $8. Signed up. Professor is published.

Get an email today saying I owe $35 for the fall annual dues to be able to take classes. There isn't a single other class that I want. Tell them to cancel my registration. Ordered the guys book for $16.

Need a new headset on my 1.5yo, 1800 mile bike. Why? Been riding 31 years and have never had to replace a headset. Had 15K miles on the Trek and prolly 12K on the Gary Fisher. Then the bike shop said they needed one a few months back and Giant said they didn't have any. What, the damn, eff?

Bike shop called, should be able to get 1 in 8 weeks. Gonna get 2.

For some reason my kid's phone number kept coming up as no caller ID all of a sudden last week. Generally, I don't answer these calls but since it's been happening lately I've had to answer the call. Been trying to figure it out with no luck so I go on customer support chat today. For the last 45 minutes I've been dealing with a bunch of upsells and BS instead of really trying to get to the root of the issue when I ask my kid to reboot her phone. She reboots and calls me, still no dice. The chat rep is asking me if I want to upgrade my line to unlimited, while my daughter is still on the line. Kid says "wait let me change something" and hangs up. Calls me back and her contact appears. I asked her what she did and she says "I changed the setting to not block my caller ID". wtfbbqfmlsmh I should take away the computer I just built for her for that shit.

Shop found a supplier out of the UK. Short term, they put in loose bearings and grease.

I fell in the pool last night trying to figure out water level and my phone was in my back pocket. I am guessing it is toast. Good thing I was able to reach the ladder after reaching the bottom and pushing up.

And my glasses went to the bottom of the pool and I had to ask my to fish it out since I am blind as a bat and was soaking wet.

after disassembling phone and drying it, it is working. except there is water between the front glass and the screen so I see water spots... oh well, hopefully it dries eventually.

I lost my glasses last week on a tree job. I can't see for shit either. Luckily I was on the ground, and a friend was doing the climbing. I have a good feel for moving around blind, so I was still able to run ropes and cut/drag brush. Got the chipper home and in my driveway pretty well for not being able to see.

Which brings me to today's FWP...

I got new glasses from walmart and picked them up today. They didn't have the frame shape I wanted, so I had to get something else. I also ordered transition lenses, but they came in grey instead of the amber I wanted. When I was going over it last week the guy asked me if I wanted the same thing, which I confirmed(my last pair came from walmart). He said grey in passing, and I reiterated I wanted the same thing. I figured he was just confused or something, and things couldn't possibly go wrong with an sku sitting in front of him to copy. Well, they went wrong. The lenses are grey... I could hardly bare another day in my backup glasses cause they hurt my nose and ears, so I don't want to wait to have them exchanged, and it isn't the end of the world, but it's irritating as shit.

Bought a different style scratch pad for my cats just to see if they like it, it's basically a bunch of cardboard glued together. This particular one is just a rectangle, I presume you're suppose to fasten it to something so it's vertical but I just placed it on the ground.

Cats like what they like, and it's hard to predict. I have a piece of locust firewood on the floor cause I brought it in to burn, but my girl really likes scratching on it, so I left it for her. She doesn't touch any of the stuff that's made for scratching.
