I'm out of milk and don't feel like going out. Guess I could Bailey's instead.
I told you that your excessive security habits were more trouble than they were worth if you weren't a high value espionage target.About five days ago I was taking video of me in the pool with a USB water prof inspection camera. Well, I had moved the damn laptop away from the pool since I did not want water to get on it of course and low and behold I managed to splash water on the damn keyboard. The 3 key was stuck and for lack of a better word it would half-boot. I was able to get into the OS, but sometimes I couldn't due to the stuck 3 key. My laptop had an ATA password and is encrypted. So yeah... entering a password wasn't working all that well with a stuck 3 key. I even let 90 plus weather dry it out. After I removed the keyboard and put it back the Num keys blink and now I can't get this damn thing to boot. I removed the SSD and for now stored it in my safe until I buy another. This was only a Dell Precision M6300. Not that big a deal since I can get a bare bone on ebay and pop the SSD back in and have a laptop again. I had Xampp on that thing and installing a local copy of my WordPress was a bitch with all the database edits I had to do to make it run on local machine. I could if I wanted connect the SSD to the desktop and grab the data if I had to. But I'll just see what a new laptop does. Only about $65-$150 set back.
Now I'm on a damn slow Inspiron 6000 with XP SP3. The hard drive crashed and I had to use a 30GB I had and reinstall Windows XP and basic crap like WinSCP, Notepad ++, Thunderbird, etc just so I could be on the couch and watch TV instead of in the down stairs dungeon on the desktop. Desktop is more for gaming.
I went looking for a new mouse -- not a need, kind of a want. Wanted a regular, non-gaming mouse, found one and reviews suggested it was a piece of shit made with very poor materials and of poor quality. So, sounds like it's gaming mouse or nothing... Can't believe my G5 still works perfectly like a decade later.
HPx3000 wireless for $8, FS @ BB. 4.5/5 stars with > 2,000 reviews. 4/5 stars on Amazon & Newegg.
Wireless & cheap, so probably not what you want, Mr. Mouse Snob, but it's 8 freaking bucks delivered to your door. <shrug>

Anyway, just buy a new keyboard. The old one will eventually dry out but the liquid is probably between many layers/films.
Had the fantasy draft at my house Saturday and my friends left me 30ish cans of natural light. I need better friends.
