I have not been able to get a single thing done today due to eclipse being a generally poorly written piece of garbage.

Also, was forced to choose eat tamales for lunch today. Despite them being decent enough, they were the healthiest of options available, and aren't healthy at all.

I can't, for the life of me, decide if I really want to get this car in a color I love and with keyless entry/ignition (which I really like) but that means I have to go with cloth instead of leather and I lose the spare tire (so I either buy my own and have it sitting in the trunk cargo area, or go without and accept that I'll need a tow if I ever have a blowout). the price difference is negligible thanks to financing differences.

this is kind of stressing me out and not being able to decide is making me lose sleep.

Flip a coin. I wouldn't give up keyless entry and ignition. I'd also, opt for the leather and pay the extra money. Spare is a bit iffy though. I love having one, even if I haven't had to use a spare in years.

yeah, it's just a nice piece of mind... in a decade+ of driving, I've only needed the spare once, but when I did it was an absolute life-saver (had a tire blowout far from home, late at night on New Year's Eve... the donut was good enough to get me home and to the tire shop the following morning). if I was in that situation without a spare, not sure what I'd do. even with AAA, it'd be an arm and a leg to have my car towed from the middle of Staten Island back to my mechanic.

edit: on the other hand, with better technology and tire PSI monitoring in the car, I suppose a blowout is a lot less likely nowadays. I'm also a more experienced driver (in retrospect, there were a lot of warning signs in the days prior to the blowout that I should have paid attention to but didn't. my steering wheel had been shifting really hard, which now I'd recognize as a sign that I should check the tire PSI's and look for any bulges/damages to the tires rather than just assuming I needed a realignment that I could put off until after the holidays)

The last time I had to use a spare I was between St. Louis and Chicago, on my way to pick up some friends and drive another 700 miles. Tire just blew out on the highway. Glad I had a spare and was able to get to a shop. =)

People get killed down here changing tires...my life isn't worth more than my time. AAA and if I have to wait so be it. If I have to get towed, so be it.

Chances are if I am going cross-country though, I'd rent a car with a spare at least so AAA can risk their neck and not me.

fair points!

I guess it's probably a little silly to be hung up on something that I may or may not ever need. fingers crossed, I've never actually had to have my car towed before, but dealing with the annoyance once in 10 years probably makes more sense than buying an aftermarket donut and keeping it in the cargo area of my trunk. (the car model with the color I really like and keyless entry/ignition is a hybrid, so the spare tire area in back is used for the battery instead)

Yeah, but think of all the gluten, corn syrup and refined sugar you didn't eat. Be happy!

I stopped at Walmart and bought a 3 pack of triple chocolate muffins and ate all of them in my anger. Was surprised that it was only 400 calories*

it was fucking raining when i had to walk about 3 rows of cars deep to my g37s after i worked out at the gym.

then to make matters worse, it was raining hard as balls, i had to check the sump pump in my home theater when i got home (since it is in my basement) because i'm paranoid about it breaking during a storm since it happened to my manager.

luckily my theater was in tact!

Wanted to get my AC installed last week asap, but my apartment building REQUIRES that their own people install it. The work order supposedly takes 48 ungodly hours, but as if that weren't enough, the lazy bastards took Friday off. As a result, and because the lazy bastards figured they deserved to have the weekend off too, I survived 5 sweaty days and nights before it was installed. That's like over 100 hours I had to endure temperatures of 80-85 degrees.

Fuck my life.

Finally got my new washer, and watched it wash clothes and pondering how it thinks about what it will do to wash them

It might revolt and attack me yet.

I bought an Oreo donut this morning and there was sugar on the outside of the paper bag, so I think I got some sugar on my hand.

Oh, and I had to redo a bunch of my YouTube videos because I found an epilepsy testing program and a few of them failed it. Surprisingly, it wasn't the ones with the high contrast bright and dark colors, or the ones with actual flashes. No, it was the brightly lit ones with stable lighting but effing fast-forwarding.

Fuck my life.

Happened to me too.(The management being lazy, that is.)

They screwed up the first install(they only allow floor-standing,window-vent AC units)..and then I had to deal with duct-taping my window screen, because they didn't secure it properly.

(The approved A/C design requires cutting a hole in the inner window screen-it's a 2-pane design with the outer pane hinging outwards.)

My first A/C had a dual-vent duct design, meaning I had to keep my window open constantly, due to the duct blocking the window crank. So annoying.

(The one I'm using now is a newer single-vent duct design.)

I'm confused... is passing an epilepsy test a requirement for youtube videos?
