Staph based food poisoning can get you blowing out both ends in under an hour. It's one fast acting bastard.

So can IBS. Happens every other day for me, including today.

I had to scarf it down before going back to work from my lunch break. 45 minutes later...

I was exaggerating about needing underwear. Speed seems to be a factor. Often I can eat the exact same thing twice, once slow and once fast. When I scarf as I often do when returning from my lunch break (can't take food/drink back in to work) my body suddenly has to purge.

This whole thing has me confused now that I know of average transit times. If average mouth to rectum time is ~35 hours, can food poisoning really get the bad thing out of your body within a couple hours through hurling and evacuating the bowels?

Yes, it can.

Average transit time is for a healthy person with good non-poisoned food and a properly-functioning digestive system who will still have solids and semi-solids plugging the pathway in multiple places. For someone like me, it's a slip'n'slide straight out the poop chute. One look in the bowl and I can often identify things I ate within a couple hours. I'm looking at you, Chipotle.

Speaking of, that South Park episode makes me feel normal when I have that reaction to Chipotle.

Knocked my Star Trek glass off the counter by accident and it cracked and shattered on the floor. It was my favorite one. :'(

Deep-fried takeout. In a foam box. Semi-melted box. Again.

Loved the stuff too much to abandon it this time around.

Was at the office of my car insurer and started flagellating (farting).
I was the only customer in the office, so was difficult to pin the blame on sum1 else.
The galz in the office appeared very courteous and just smiled.

Had to watch my team have an empty net goal negated by the ref while winning game 7 and heading to the cup.

A shattered Shatner? A pocked Spock? A checked out Chekov? Bet it pictured a red shirt.

Giant insect in my room went from a back wall to the wall in front of me... I think it's hunting the damn spider that always hangs out right around here.

Had to unload 3 sheets of teak plywood in 85 degree weather and my wife didn't line up the truck right so I had to move it over.

My brand new ceiling fan is already making a ticking noise, which was the whole reason I replaced the last one. I'm a light sleeper and it can keep me awake

Wow. They make teak plywood? How much does that run? Can't be cheap.

$158 for a 4x8 1/2" sheet. It's mainly used in marine applications - I'm replacing bulkheads in a sailboat. They use waterproof glue as well between the plys so it doesn't fall apart in moisture.

Trying to get rid of my old bike... Want to sell it on Craigslist for practically nothing, but I'm concerned about liability.

Only one bike charity seems to do pick-ups in my area but two stores a couple blocks away take them. FML.

Will you ever be done getting rid of things?

In 2008 I bought a brand new bike Target donated to Goodwill after the wheel was somehow severely warped during assembly. They never got the side grip bars installed. $15 + the cost of a new wheel. Sure, it was a cheap $80 multi-speed Magna, but they didn't seem concerned by liability.

I wanted to reply with something about wearing glasses while sleeping after seeing the synopsis of this thread...

...but then I noticed that it had 38 replies and someone had likely already addressed it. FML. Wasn't interested for any other reason. Moving on without reading.

Ah, but they have a full-time legal department and billions of dollars...

I really hate having shit now and I accumulated a lot of it over the past decade when I thought buying shit == happy. Only what can fit into the backseat of a sedan is the goal. There are only a few more things, the bike being the biggest. Over the next few years, will probably get rid of my desktop and stereo -- will move to a laptop or mini something.

Edit: Ummm, I was looking at a recent photo of my bike I took for potential Craigslisting: it's not actually locked. The U-lock is under the seat. Newsflash: the seat is removeable... Can't believe it wasn't stolen over the past few years.

Been freezing my ass off all winter, spring, and fall... Now summer is here, it's hot, and people "need" the air conditioning on in the house.

Planning on being homeless in the near future? I can appreciate being light, but your case sounds a bit ocd.

Possibly -- homeless and OCD.

Otherwise, the idea is to be mobile and never be tied down.
