Actually why don't fridges have actual temperature control instead of these random numbers that mean nothing?
because you're a cheap bastard.

TBH that's the first time I see that for a non commercial grade fridge. I bet they artificially jack up the price for that though, even though it would be very easy to do. Could technically mod an existing fridge if you really wanted to. Bypass it's thermostat and put in your own arduino based one.

well it IS a viking fridge, so for sure it's going to cost you a pretty penny.
evidently Samsung has it too. Conclusion: buy cheap things get cheap knobs
Dealing with the heat and humidity.(Unusual for Oregon).
89 degrees F with a 62 degree F dew point.(The humidity is 40 %).
Not fun at all.I've been hiding in my air-conditioned apartment all afternoon.
A cookie stuffer tried to make us think out favorite tech site was shutting down.
I hope that can be changed to centigrade. That is blasphemy! My AC unit is F only, I had to print out a little chart and stick it to it so I know what temp it's actually set at without having to look it up each time. Not that it matters since I set it to the lowest setting it goes to anyway.
Got a French Dip for lunch. There was no au jus and I didn't feel like going back down to the cafeteria to get any. The sandwich was dry without it.
You should learn the difference between fridge and freezer.
Cost saving, no doubt.Actually why don't fridges have actual temperature control instead of these random numbers that mean nothing?
some do. otherwise, get a $5 thermometer for the fridge, and if you really can't figure out what 1-5 would be, get another thermometer for your freezer

Top of the list. I know you're in Canada, but there's gotta be a comparable product there too.
It's nice of them to make a versatile product, but I think that once it exceeds 100F, there's probably something wrong with the fridge.Taylor Digital Refrigerator Freezer Thermometer
Range -4°F to 140°F and -20°C to 60°C
So what is the borderline for "cheap" then? $100/ft³, or what?well it IS a viking fridge, so for sure it's going to cost you a pretty penny.

A lot of consumer devices are designed with "Fuck it, that'll do" as the standard.
And then you'll have more 1st world problems.Next set of appliances we get are gonna be hi-tech, with Smartphone control and all that shit.
I found out that ATOT is horrible at coming up ways to stuff cookies.
