Two brand new iPhone 7 - 128GB models were delivered to wrong address. Had correct shipping address on box but simply delivered to wrong location. UPS trying to track down. Have two trade in phones already tied to those phones. What a freaking mess!!! Damn UPS!!!

Waitress at dinner overhead us talking about a midlife crisis. She said her divorced dad (58) has been in his for decade & was dating a girl 3 years older than she was (29). Which wasn't that bad, except that her mom's girlfriend was 3 years younger than she was.

Ouch.

I always enjoyed dating older women in my late 20's

One was actually a year older the my stepmother at the time, and they both had been cheerleaders at rival high schools at the time, they were telling stories to each other around the campfire on one of our Labor Day camping trips.

She was cool, and spoiled me rotten, and I spoiled her rotten at the time also.

Found out my expensive rechargeable batteries have piece of shit wrappers that aren't that durable and may peel well before they stop holding a charge. Then i asked myself why I didn't buy cheapo alkalines and I remembered that those pieces of shit enjoy leaking and wrecking things. Then I read about lithium batteries starting fires... Man, we really have shitty energy storage technologies.

We should go back to water towers and water wheels. Power a phone for weeks, months on a single fill.

I was watching a random channel on youtube the other day and they had a bbq grill with a water powered rotisserie. They had it set on the waters edge close enough for the paddle to turn by the current.

Dude created an Amazon S3 extension to upload forum attachments for phpBB (what my forum is based on), and it's taking the author forever to fix. Mean while, I already signed up for an Amazon S3 account to use the damn extension and port all attachments to the cloud! FUCK!

Where I'm gonna be about midnight tonight...

Note the Gap of Despair where there isn't cable strung. Across the splice plate. Of course... :^(

edit:
Also note the eye rapers at each end. All the joy of black darkness, and looking into the sun, just a head turn away.

Have you tried nickel-zinc (NiZn) rechargeables? Do some research on them but the main problem I ran into with them is that they have too much voltage so that if you have something delicate with a voltage limiter, it might not run with these since they are rated at 1.6v rather then 1.5v. I've actually had that happen on some electronics but in general, they should work.

You'll need to check what the recharge times are, number recharge cycles over the life of the battery and things like that. I think most of the chargers that come with them are smart chargers that turn off automatically but again, check.

edit: Oh, also - don't know if still true but they used to come mainly in AA. Don't think I've ever seen any other sizes.

Realized by end of yesterday that I brought my car at the shop a day early. Was without a car for nothing. They looked at the issue today but have to get parts ordered that will only come in tomorrow. So with all that, I end up being with no car for the 3 days that I had to work. I'll be off after this. I really should have planned this so that it happens on my days off. First day I walked, this morning I was too comfy in bed so slept a bit longer and took a cab instead, then tomorrow I just asked a coworker to come get me.

Total bill for car ends up being like $1,400 Ca CHING!!! But way I see it, it's paid off and I have no payments. So this is equivalent to like maybe 3 months of payments if it was a new car. So I'll just swallow it. Two new struts, mounts, and some kind of link arm that was dented.

Will be nice once it's done though, I was starting to feel like I should not drive it too much, it was making weird noises and steering felt really weird.

Paid for car...awesome. Drove my Prelude for 19 years and 203K miles...Win for me.

Just bought the kid a 21 y.o. accord, 203k miles. He's 15. I've driven 2 tanks of gas out of it and it's great. If it lasts him through HS, that's $500/yr....also great.

One by one, my banking sites stop working with FF.

That would piss me off. I hate sites that force IE especially given I use Linux. I don't want to have to use a different browser let alone a VM just to use a site. It would seriously drive me to switch banks if it happened to mine.

One thing I do hate about mine though is that their message system relies on the stupid PDF plug in, and for whatever reason does not work in Linux even if I do have a plugin. I think it specifically wants the ALOLbe one. Why do that shit, just use html FFS. So I can't use it if I have questions or w/e, but thankfully it's a small bank so if I call the branch I actually get a human. So any questions or other type of communication needed I just call.
