it's just another sales channel - sometimes the money is better than CL, sometimes it's less. Sure you can get scammed on eBay, but you can get stabbed on CL, so it washes out.

It's one of those meetings where everyone has a different part to play and may not need to be involved in the whole thing. I'm happy to be employed, since my main project is on hold at the moment.

Edit: And I almost fried an LED flashlight earlier. It unscrewed at the head and I put the battery in backwards despite WTF alarms going off in my head -- it didn't turn on. Luckily, the light had idiocy/reverse polarity protection.

Imp I feel your pain brother as I also sell on Craigslist and have been stood up a couple of times myself. I've heard some of the most creative excuses while they're doing it so I always keep the meet site close to me so it doesn't hurt so bad.

One of my former employer (Fortune 100) sent me a check (decent chunk) for the stock price conversion from the stocks I purchased years ago. Now I have to figure out whether to take it (taxable) or decline.

My health insurer sent me a letter stating that they are refunding a portion of the premium as they missed the Obamacare target.

Down at the bottom of the letter they state that the refund is going to my employer, not me.

Woke myself and my wife up with a very SbD fart last night and was unable to blame it on the dog because, for some reason, it was not in the room like it normally is. $8400 premium a year with $10000 deductible? I hope it was for the whole family (with kids and all and not just you).

BCBS sent me a letter a few weeks ago and premium will go up by the end of this year, just like clockwork. No claim, nothing, nada, zip. Just one year older and it was just for me.

I'm looking into selling books -- a certain book for a course where they don't change books/editions for a decade -- and finding that the bulk discount isn't as great as I thought. Can't find info for this specific book but other publishers appear to give volume discounts in the 20% to 60% off retail/MSRP range. Gotta order like 1000 to get the 60%.

At 25% off, it's essentially the Amazon new price. Got damn. Need something like 40% off or an order in the hundreds to start making it worth it AND compete with Amazon. Better off trying to sucker people into selling me their used copies for cheap.
