Got my robotic total station back from the shop, but something's still not right with it. It has radio issues, and I get a carrier lost error, and one of the extra keypads won't work robotically at all. One of the keypads does work though, so I can use the shitastic software for running topo, where it really does speed things up. Otherwise, I prefer manually keying data into my HP48. It's slower, but much more powerful, and the speed I lose there is regained doing computations, and instantly switching tasks. It's output to a computer is also more sane, and nicer to read.
