A recent wind storm damaged an Arizona cypress in our yard. The root ball is coming up and the tree is leaning over the neighbor's house/driveway. So I went to work bringing it down. There is very little working space around the tree being near our house, the neighbor's house, two small oak trees, and other plants. My clever plan was to lop off as many of the branches as possible then drop the trunk in sections. After taking down most of the branches I found an active nest. So we're on a three-four week break until the birds fledge. The tree is now a topped trunk with a single branch holding the nest. Looks like hell.
