Got elected to hang 6 blinds for the in laws. Gather tools, skip out of work and they didn't measure the opening right. The blinds are 1" too short. Looks like I get to mount 2 1/2" blocks of wood on each window frame before I mount the bracket. Waste of a good opportunity to go home for a nap.

I actually tried the Burger King first, but holy shit, worse bathroom in the country: blood in the sink, pee on the floor, unflushed toilets, toilet paper everywhere. Was afraid I got an STD just being in there to decide, "no way".

I always judge the quality of an establishment by how much blood I find in their bathroom sinks. None? Fuck that, they're trying to cover something up here. No one is that clean. Ideally, it will look like someone had a botched organ transplant over every conceivable surface. That's a bathroom I can trust.

Meh, still better than renting. If I'm going to dump over a grand a month into something, might as well own the place. I'm only sticking around because the housing market is so precarious right now.

I was getting my internet upgraded to a faster speed because I want to do some podcasting and streaming stuff, which is hard with a 1mbps upload. Somewhere along the line somebody completely fucked everything up and neither my indie ISP or Bell Canada (who's lines they use) are taking responsibility. Looks like it's back to the cable company.

I'm getting neffing withdrawal symptoms though. I can only surf at work. Thank god I have free access here. They can't choke me off because I'm the unofficial social media coordinator on top of my normal job.

I hear ya. They're out having a good time all day (retired) yet I cover their utilities. Bank's only giving my a $200k mortgage so I needed a much bigger down payment that I originally anticipated. Especially if I don't want a shoe box in the ghetto.
