Probably. I mow the yard, mostly, but I don't do a thing else aside from the rare bush and tree limb. The grass is longish before I get to it, but not too long cause it makes my belt squeal. I have a 'close enough' automotive belt on it cause I didn't feel like driving to the deere dealer. Cheaper and closer, so I think I'll stick with it. I don't eat weeds, and I don't blow. If it isn't practical getting with a knife or machete, it doesn't get done.So you're that guy ....
I run mine nearly every week.
I also don't use chemicals. Salt would work, but I need something to keep the dirt in place. If I had more energy, I'd make a contained meadow. A stone wall enclosing an area I let grow up with wild flowers. It's amazing how little a big ass pile of rocks gets you. I was collecting them for a long time for my patio, and kinda sorta got it done, but it took a ton of time/energy, and my back hasn't gotten any better over time. I definitely wouldn't buy rocks. That's like buying air or sunlight.Roundup works.
Still thinking of a way to not have lawn to mow. If my neighbors were dicks, corn or soybeans would be high on the list. Since they aren't /too/ bad, I want to keep it somewhat normal :^D
you could plant the wildflowers but if the seeds aren't there already you'd still have to maintain the meadow somehow, admittedly it would be less mowing, but whatever the dominant weeds are in your lawn, they will mostly take over if you do nothing.I also don't use chemicals. What are you doing? Sounds like you're all over the world. Is it business or pleasure?Thought the alternator in my van died, turned out the roughly 1000km's of dirt road i've driven in the past week can shake a lot of things lose on a vehicle. Also parts are a pita to source when your around the arctic circle
