It's not even January, and I feel like the end of winter's in sight. Christmas is over, the days are getting longer, and I'm already seeing more cardinals. I'll be wasting my time making grass shorter in no time. I hate when Christmas ends. My perfect year would be 5 months of fall, 4 months of winter, 11 weeks of spring, and one week of summer(to keep the good weather previously mentioned in perspective).

Gonna go hiking tomorrow morning. Hoping for some snow. The odds were increasing last I looked. After that, I'll get currywurst at the German place again. Love that restaurant.

The beach sand was a bit chilly on my toes this morning but yesterday’s smog blew out so the air is nice. Heading to Tehrangeles for lunch but need to balance meat and ice cream intake.

Its a balmy 5 F out. The natural gas bill is going to be sweet. That and they keep shaming me on my bill by pointing out that my most efficient neighbors use less gas than I do - jerks!

The animals next door are flailing around again. Going to be a long night.
Years ago I stayed at a state park in MA. I was amazed to see rvs with decks built to the entrance, and decorative lighting put up. They were semi permanent residents. You should do that.

I make it sound worse than it is. It's only really bad if I'm here at my desk or if it's totally quiet. It's nothing near my apartment in Saint Louis City where I couldn't turn up my TV loud enough to drown out the noise at 3am. These people are just 20-ish and drunk (or injecting a gallon of PCP into their eyeballs and summoning the devil, one of those two).

I have the munchies but my car is in the shop. Almost debating on walking to the convenience store, but it's kind of far especially in -29. There's a small corner store that's closer but chances are they are closed at this time.

That won't help with the cold.

Though the beard actually helps quite a bit. Might just bundle up and go. It's the hands that get cold the fastest though, in this weather, no amount of gloves really help.

I thought about it, actually. But it's not like it's often I have to go outside for any extended period. Though it could come in handy for when I want to do outdoor photography in the cold. That's when the night scenery is the coolest too especially if you get light pillars or other crazy effects. Need to take gloves off to use camera but at least they'd be warm when I put them back on.

Not sure how you'd control a DSLR with a phone.

So ended up going anyway. My phone's battery was showing 1C when I got back home lol. My beard was also white. But the frost melted before I could get a good picture. Just to say there was a really thin frost on it.

It's actually really bad tonight. I don't want to move again...

My bank's website is horribly coded and uses a PDF viewer plugin for the internal messaging system instead of just HTML, so I can't view messages in Linux. It's completely retarded. There's probably a bunch of hoops I can jump through to try to get a PDF plugin to work but FTS I don't feel like screwing around with that. So I never use that system.

But now they sent me a message through it and I can't read it. Why can't they just display it as HTML, it's retarded that it requires a plugin. Pisses me off when people code shit like that.

I can do it with my EOS 6D. Of course it is not going to compose and zoom for you, but those things can be done with gloves on.

Bigger concern is the camera and the cold.

While I was carrying the scope out to the end of the jetty, the fog bank rolled ashore. Still got to watch a cormorant diving in the rocks and saw a loon.

Had to wire the soon to be ex-wife $30k. Unfortunately, that is just an appetizer for her until the divorce is finalized. Pisses me off I've worked so hard and been responsible saving money for years, while she sits around doing whatever she wants all day and complaining she's bored. Any money she earned during the marriage was spent instantly on herself. Then I have to give her half of everything I've saved, and 40% of my net income for several years. Oh well fuck it, it's worth it to be free.

Sucks... Marriage is a scam. It's a scheme to benefit the owners of vaginae. A money distribution racket. I wonder how gay divorce works? Probably creates a singularity that swallows the courthouse...

What? They compare you to your neighbors? You should move near Al Gore.

Ours is a scam. Warm winter/cool summer, rate hike because of lower usage and they didn't make enough $$. Weather normalization, they call it. Eff me, I call it.

We all know you live in a pup tent.
