I keep getting emails from the power company warning of excessive power usage. I look at the details, and everything looks in order. The only thing I can figure is my usage is so low, small blips trigger the alert and the computer sends off an email.
I'd like to be in the mountains. I could do without big water if there's lots of hills. Flatlands are depressing. That's what I liked least about that shitty IT job thread a week or two ago. I looked the town up, and it's almost all flat. That was the worst part of the whole deal. A lake might make up for flat. An ocean definitely would. I prefer my water moving.I need to eventually move off grid in an unorganized township. Could cut most of those costs out. There's a property I'm eyeing, downside is it's not even close to any lake or river or anything, if I'm going to buy such property I at least want it to be lake front.

My girl's fairly compliant. Needles would be a small issue, but doable. The boy otoh... It's hard to get him to do anything, and he's big and strong, so he's good at asserting his will. Last time I had to crate him, I had to take the crate apart, put him inside, then assemble the crate around him. He *would not* go in door for anything, and immediately seemed to grow four more legs to grab on to stuff to keep from being put in the box.Tried giving sub-dermal fluids to Smally again to help flush out a kidney infection. So far, she's the only cat to defeat us. We really need two people to pin her down while the third holds the needle.
Gotta be proactive. Poop yourself right after the plane takes off.flying to NY today... we'll see whether I get downgrade, wheter someone else poops themself on the plane, or maybe I luck out and get both this time.
Bad news. The girl's got bad kidneys. I got some pills and vitamins for her(at $80). Hopefully that'll be enough to keep her going awhile. The vet suggested prescription food. Aside from being pricey, the girl's a picky eater, and "prescription" foods kinda bs anyway. I'll have to look into tweaking her diet a bit :^/Took the cat to the vet, and it's cost me $233 so far. Hoping the tests come back okish. Doc thinks it's hyperthyroidism. She's my favorite thing, and like to have her around for a few more years at least.
My day wasn't nearly as bad hers though. This was the first time she left the house in over ten years. She didn't enjoy the ride in the crate, nor the thermometer in her ass, and she especially didn't enjoy her shave and blood draw. She was one sad kitty. It's better now, but she had a traumatic day :^D
