The only part of church I like is when they give you the free communion wafers. I want to buy a box from Amazon just to munch on.

Those are actually tasty. I don't go to catholic church so we don't get those. We pass a bread loaf around in a basket and break a piece off. It's super fresh bread though!

Snow turned to rain. Sigh... All I want is some winter. I make the stupid grass shorter. I sweat my ass off doing tricks for other people. I get sunburned, and monkey assed. I don't think a bit of winter is too much to ask for my sacrifices...
Things are looking up. The rain's freezing on the tree branches. With a bit of luck, it'll look like magic in a few hours :^)

It's raining and there's a package that's been on my front porch for the past two days. I suppose I should go get it. Did I mention it's raining?

So I just realized my mining rig plan is pretty much screwed. I built a custom case with zero intention of needing a GPU for actual video output, because I figured I could use onboard. But turns out the CPU actually has to support it, and of course with my luck, mine does not. So can't POST until I put a GPU in a slot, which I can't physically do because of the case design. So need to either go with a different CPU or modify the case. Either way, it's going to cost me more money.

As a side note fairly happy how the case ended up. I only have 2 GPUs at the moment so did not run any power from the second PSU but it's there for future expansion.

Cat #1 has spent the last three months trying to eat a plastic Christmas tree.
Cat #2 just tore open a bag of potatoes and tried to eat one.

And I wonder why they throw up a lot.

You look like a candidate for a server rack.

That's exactly where this case will be going.

Going to decomission the 2 IBM enclosures near the bottom, as that is exactly 6U and I don't really use those anyway. They were a fun idea at the time, but way too proprietary. Can't put my own drives in it.

Alright Squirrel. Break out the server pics :^D

Was hoping that the presence of a GPU on a riser would maybe be enough for the built on video to work but no dice. I don't think the GPU will work as a GPU on a riser either, but I don't really have a way to test that. My work bench only has VGA. I really need to update that whole work bench setup. It was setup at a time where I had to fix lot of people's old computers.

Surprisingly all that only uses around 300w haha. I pay more for delivery and all the fixed charges than actual usage. The mining rig is going to add a lot to that though... lol.

Kitty's really getting feisty. Seems like every day it gets a little harder to get a pill in her, and it's now starting to require a sacrifice of blood on my part.

Haven't given her vitamins in a couple days. She especially hates that, and it requires prep on my part. I've opportunistically snatched her up for her pill without taking the time to prep the vitamins. She's learning the routine, and avoids me when she thinks it's medicine time, so I've got to get her when she isn't expecting it.
Kitty's deciding she doesn't want to eat...

Tried putting tuna on top of her food. She ate the tuna, and left the rest :bangshead:

What happened to chunk light tuna? It used to be at least a little meaty. The cheap Chicken of the Sea I got is like paste. It looks awful, and I can only imagine the mouth feel. The cat likes it, but I'm glad I switched to American Tuna for myself.

Might be getting sick again. I've only gone about one week of not having a cold/flu since Veterans Day. It's getting old.

I still haven't been laid in two and a half years, and there is no end in sight, not even a glimmer of hope.

Water heater died. It's gonna take a whole day for somebody to come out to fix it. Woe is me, I'll have to deal with only being able to turn a handle and get cold potable water that's cleaner than what 90% of the planet's population gets.

Why, I might even have to wait a whole 36 hours between showers. The horror!

I think this would count as 'worst day of the year' for about 90% of Facebook

Vitamin D3 and zinc are your friends. Get your d3 levels tested. I guarantee they're low. I've barely had a cold since I've been taking 4000IU's per day. I used to get the flu and awful bronchitis every year at least once in Jan-Feb. No more.

I feel your pain.

But that's all I'm going to feel.

You might be right about the Vitamin D thing. I get a lot sicker here in the great white north than I did down on the Gulf Coast, especially during Winter.

lol yeah.

When I was a kid, my mom would fly off the handle for all sorts of thing. (Hypertension.) A couple months after my grandpa died, I dropped a plate and braced for "impact" but my mom just shrugged. She said, "Well, my dad's dead. It's just a plate."

It's funny - perspective is important, but if you wish for people to get it, you're the bad guy.

I got two envelopes that were sealed so tightly that I couldn't get a knife under the flap to open them. I had to surgically slice into the envelope and try to insert the blade w/o snagging the contents. Who does this and why? Is an ordinary sealed envelope somehow not deemed secure enough? And what exactly are we trying to protect? The international letter I can sort of understand since the paper is ultra thin and I guess they're not stingy with the adhesive. But the junk mail letter baffles me. You'd think they'd want to go in the opposite direction with that one.
