For an hour or two, I was accused of absconding with $1600 worth of company funds. Sense prevailed eventually, and I am no longer on the hook for the loss.

Vitamin D3 and zinc are your friends. Get your d3 levels tested. I guarantee they're low. I've barely had a cold since I've been taking 4000IU's per day. I used to get the flu and awful bronchitis every year at least once in Jan-Feb. No more.

I recommend Zinc monomethionine balanced with a bit of copper. Taking zinc supplements depletes copper in the body.
I take a Jarrow Formulas product 15mg zinc / 1mg copper - they call it Zinc Balance (15mg daily may be pushing it, but less than other brands' zinc product). Amazon's kind of running out, so I found it locally for $11.

I believe you but I would love to see an article explaining the mechanics from a molecular biologic point of view if you know of anything like that. Search for "zinc copper deficiency." My doctor himself warned me of copper deficiency if I supplement with zinc - though I already knew.
Usually when a manufacturer throws in an extra nutrient, there's a reason. Cofactor possibly. Except in cases where ... for instance ... they're concocting a potpourri of herbs, minerals, etc for a Sharp Mind blend. Or a Sleep blend. Or a Glucose Control blend.

My new cell phone battery works too well. The instructions said to fully power cycle it a couple times for maximal performance, but it's taking too long. I took it off charge last night, and it's still at 66%, even after using it a fair amount.

Trying to organize my BDU/ACUs, and the cat's "helping" by grabbing the blousing strings and stuff while I get them on hangers. PITA, but she's part of the reason I leave them on. I only use them once in a blue moon, but she loves them, and rolls around like an idiot grabbing the strings while I put on my pants. She gets excited whenever I grab something camo.

Somewhat related... I've overbought pants. For awhile, they were hard to find at a decent price, so I'd buy them whenever they turned up. I now have enough to outfit a platoon. No manlets :^P

Crucial has no stock at all, not even online. Where is all that ballistix memory going ?

I wonder if this is a result of "the death of the PC". All these companies revved down their production, changed their tooling to produce other things like memory for phones and tablets. And now with mining everybody is building computers like it was mid 2000's again. Clearly the PC is not dead though.

I know it is weird.
Strangest thing is that there is a lot sold out but corsair memory is every where plenty full where i look.
But i read that corsair uses dram chips every where they can find them so a buyer never knows what he is buying.
I also do not trust it that the corsair ram boots at 2133MHz but has an xmp profile of 3200MHz or more.
Why would even 3600MHz corsair memory boot at 2133 and not at least at 2666MHz @ 1.2V ?
It just does not feel good to me.
At least the ballistix memory i ordered is guarantueed to run on 2666MHz@1.2V but has an XMP profile for 3200MHz @ 1.35V. Both on decent timings.
That is why i ordered the ballistix.

That's one thing that sucks about living here in the north. Snow days end after grade 12. Does not matter how bad it is here we are expected to be at work. Same when you are in college/university. There's no snow days. I find it annoying during night shifts because after working 12 hours I then have to go dig out the car so I can go home. When I get home I then have to dig out my driveway so I can park. The act of doing that kind of wakes me up, then it's hard to sleep. Though I still prefer that than a day shift, where I have to scramble and try to also be at work on time. Though I usually try to get up like half an hour earlier if I see that it's snowing out or if they are announcing anything. We don't get as much snow as we used to though.

I made a quick stop at the grocery store after work and when I typed my phone number into the keypad, it didn't get accepted so I lost out on like two cents worth of points.

That phone number crap is like the biggest marketing dick grab ever. And all of the employes are trained to insist that you enter your personal mark of the devil for all that marketing goodness in exchange for some cheaper fuel or money off. Granted if you just shopped for a week your bill is still over 300 damn dollars.

I could have sworn I paid it in full after buying all my mining rig stuff, and lo and behold I check my balance today and the balance is like over $900. I hardly spent money since the last full payment. Because transactions take a long time to show up it's harder to keep track of so I just login at each pay cheque and pay off whatever the balance is at and go through transactions to look for anything that's not right. A while back I got fraud on my card so I got a new one with a new number. It just occurred to me now that for whatever reason the old card is still in their system, and when I make a payment, it's going to the old card and not the new one. I just sent them a message on their site to see what's going on. I have a feeling all my payments for the last little while are basically going into a void. I really hope they can fix that...

I also hate the fact that the card is still in their system, I wonder if it still works... that means I can still get scammed.

After an hour of slow, painfully repetitious explanations of how things work on my part the guy finally tells me where his "secret" bonanza is located. He doesn't own the land. He doesn't own the minerals. The land is mostly owned by a certain railroad (the one with largish yellow locomotives) and hosts the rail's main line. There is no way he is ever going to quarry it. I found a telephone number for the railroad and gave him that so hopefully he never calls back.

So I just got a generic bot response from my inquiry and they closed the case. Went absolutely nowhere. But it just occurred to me that I probably have to change the card number in my bank when I make my payment... but nobody ever told me that. I changed it but have to wait 2 days before I can use that payment method. I'm going to make a payment of a dollar just to see if it goes to the right card.

I have a feeling I lost over a grand in payments because they were all going to the old card which does not exist anymore and every time I logged in and saw a balance I would just make another payment, not realizing that the last one never went through. I sent some small transactions just to verify my hunch. If that's the case I'm going to be opening another case with them.
