Hah. I just really want at least a Master's degree. I don't know if I have the energy to do a PhD once this is all over. I'm taking three classes this semester while working full-time (or more) and dealing with the flu. Fortunately this is my last bad semester.Chasing skirts all the way back to school. That takes dedication.

My higher dose Metformin makes me sick. Especially if I take it with the other meds. I am now an old man. I have to spread my drugs out thru the day.

Anything more than about 1000mg in a twelve hour period will likely give you the runs. Should help you lose weight though.

My mom sent me an Amazon Echo as a gift but I really really hate smart devices. I don't know how to tell her I have absolutely no use/desire for it. I could keep it, but again I have no use for it... and I'd have to set it out every time my parents come to visit and pretend like I use it. Just makes me feel really bad.

I have one and while I don't use it a ton (mainly to get the weather, or play NPR radio or music) recently I've finally utilized the smart outlets I bought awhile back so now all I need to do is say "Alexa turn on living room lights" or "Alexa turn on bedroom light" and they turn on. Especially for the bedroom, it definitely beats wondering through a dark bedroom until you reach the lamp (light switch don't work on the apartment in that room, I guess). And right now I'm just about done with a skill I'm writing for it (a dice game) cause I'm a developer nerd, WOOT.
So just give it a shot. If you don't use it much, oh well, but keep an open mind. You might surprise yourself by liking something you previously thought dumb. You're not one of those people who think the government and Jeff Bezos is listening to your conversations, are you?
