Been out of saran wrap for a few days and finally went out to get some at the CVS across the street. Only brand they had was called Total Home. $4.19, but I had $3 in coupons. It's so terrible that I am going back to get my $1.19 back tomorrow. The shit rips in half (more like 3/4) just unrolling it - it won't unroll as 1 whole piece width-wise no matter what I do. Not only that, the cutter is on the inside of the box rather than the bottom so after you cut, you have to reach in again, exactly where the blade is so there's also a chance of cutting your hand. I've used off-brand saran wrap before in college but this takes the cake. I have never been so aggravated doing something so simple in my life. NEVER. I want to meet the people who designed this crap and punch them in the face.

Nothing worse than terrible saran wrap, especially if it has an awful cutter. I love the 750 sq. ft. rolls of Kirkland Signature (Stretch Tite) plastic wrap. It comes with a slide cutter which is incredibly effective and absolutely no risk of cutting yourself.

Coke 12 packs were on sale for $2.50 each (plus sale tax) so I purchased a few.

I dropped one of the packs in the parking lot and about half of them busted. What a mess and a waste of good Coke.

I avoid CVS as much as possible. Everything is way too expensive or low quality. Fortunately they are opening a Target right near my place, which will be cheaper and closer to me than CVS.

Truck was in the shop for some work; primarily getting the rear rebuilt, but they also put on a new muffler. I sorta needed one. The existing muffler was a thrush, and both tail pipes broke off(previous owner made it a ghetto street rod). It was kinda loud, but I liked it. Made it sound like a farm truck. Anyway, the new muffler has cut my gas mileage by ~2mpg. I don't pay for gas, but its still wasteful, and it's because of something I didn't really want in the first place, though I may have needed it eventually. Not sure how MD emissions would react to exhaust being released under the truck bed :^/

Glory be, my package escaped from Chicago! Hopefully it had a chance to see the Art Institute, the Field Museum, the Shedd, and maybe catch a Cubs game while it was in town.

My cat came in and fussed at me early this morning cause she didn't like her food. I grabbed her to give her some affection, and I must have done /something/ to her. She got in a weird posture, and looked like she had a seizure D^: I wasn't sure she'd last the night with the way she looked. The only thing I can think is she pinched a nerve in her back. She didn't make a peep.

More proof cats are the manliest pets. Take pain like a viking, and keep going til they don't. I'll have to be more gentle with her though. I guess she's getting pretty frail. I'm gonna miss that thing when she's gone :^(

I miss my cats. They weren't really mine. They belonged to the ex but I was their guardian. I need to get another cat. Hopefully a bonded pair so that they have someone to play with. But shelters are so picky. They don't want to let you adopt a cat unless you have vet records for your previous cats and the ex took care of all of the vet visits.

That's odd, how would that work for someone that never even had a cat before? They are giving people no choice but to go to a pet store if they are that picky.

I've been thinking how it's going to hurt so much when my cat passes away. I practically grew up with her. Was in high school when I got her, went through college, and now in my own house. I guess it will be bittersweet though, since when it does happen I'll probably get a rescue. Maybe two as well.

Did she urinate during this episode. I had a cat that was prone to seizures and she would urinate during one. She would come out of it completely confused. Wandering about meowing looking for me.

No, she didn't pee, and I did specifically look. After her body cooperated, she went to the end of the bed, and just sat there. She was kinda wobbly, and looked like she'd fall over. Whatever happened, I got the impression it scared her. She seemed really freaked out about the whole thing.

Every shelter I've been to can't give them away fast enough. They'd rather them go to a marginally decent home than be put down.

Probably bombed an interview for a position I'd be great at. It was some weird "talk into a web cam about X" type interview. I wasn't prepared for the awkwardness. Oh well. It was a plan D job, so not getting it won't bother me. I can say that I absolutely hate that interview style.

I'm taking an online class as required by my company for stuff I already know. I prefer to take classes that teach something new. The following text actually, literally, and absolutely appeared on a slide, "Plants don't move quickly."

One of my wood piles fell over today. Half a cord of wood on the ground to pick up *again*. A couple of my piles are precariously stacked on old pine limbs cause I didn't have anything handy to pile it on. On the plus side, I got a very local source of free pallets. They're on the other end of the farm where the office is. I can pick up a couple after work each day \o/

Cut my knee with a hatchet tonight. I was trying to shave down a knot, and it skipped off and went in just above my knee. Went through two layers of BDU material, and fairly deep in my leg. It's small, but deep. I could use a butterfly bandaid, but I don't have those. Wiped it off with an alcohol swab, and put a regular bandaid on it. Have to change my work pants now for the rest of the week, and it's kind of sore. More an impact pain than a cut type pain.

Insult to injury... It was my old boy scout hatchet. A child's tool got the better of me :^S
