:^(Mister Boston Rock and Rye
:^(
That's pretty pedestrian. Oh well... As long as it makes uncle happy, eh?
Rock & rye's old school. Nobody really drinks it anymore, but it's made a minor comeback with the resurgence of rye whiskey. I'd look for something better as an addon for uncle. I believe the Sazerac company makes a rock & rye blend. It's almost certainly better than Mr Boston. Get him what he asked for, then something better to sample. Don't forget to pick up something nice for yourself ;^)I could only find one shop within 200 miles that sold it, so I figured it was fairly rare. Could just be that it hasn't become popular out here.
What did you get?We spent all day shopping for a laptop. Didn't finally make up our mind until like 9:30 PM.
Inspiron 15 7000 - model 7573, fully loaded. (16GB/512GB, 4k)What did you get?
Some of my kitties have been AWOL. The last couple days, only Minime's shown up for breakfast, and she's my least favorite cat. Fathead, Mom, and kittens are nowhere to be seen. There's still food left in the plate. Even if some of others have come, they aren't all accounted for. Hope they're all ok.
I don't talk to neighbors. That would set a bad precedent :^Pthey got adopted, and cant leave. ask your neighbors.

I don't think Fathead's adoptable. Maybe with a good bit of work, but it took longer than a year for me to even touch him. Mom would make a great pet. She has a cute face, and a sweet disposition. Not sure about the kittens. They're pretty wild, but too young to tell if they'd settle down. Snatching one up, and just keeping it would probably be a viable strategy. They're young enough to chill out once they figure out they aren't gonna be eaten.
I'm tempted to get a laptop off Slickdeals, for $500. My past ones have been cheap, in the ~$200 range, but I'd like something better (mainly for Android/Unity/.NET development, but some games). Since my current one works fine I'm having a hard time justifying the money spent. But it would be nice, lol.We spent all day shopping for a laptop. Southerners can pronounce it that way. I sub to sootch00 on YouTube and he'll always say "impordent" and "ah-GIN" and whatnot. Not sure if that's what she was saying though.sigh. I'm getting old.
I was on the phone with a girl working out some stuff. Nice young girl, typical youngster ditz-speak. She used the word "important" a lot.
But she never actually said the word "important". She pronounced it "impordend", with very soft Ds.
Every time she said it it was like another pin prick into my brain until I finally felt like reaching through the phone and choking her to death.
This is the first time it hasn't worked for me. I can usually just move drives around, and it picks up where I left off. Oh well. It was a pretty good run for this machine. Over 8 years on the same install. Just upgraded as I went. Testing-Wheezy-Jessie-StretchI've never had good luck transplanting linux sytem tbh. Always end up with the dreaded ctrl+d grub errors and never know what to do from there. Even trying to go from physical to virtual or from one virtual platform to another, I usually end up having to reinstall.
Just install Win 10.I got a new to me(dell refurb) computer today, and I can't get it to boot. Keep getting grub errors. I fucked with it for a few hours, but I think it's beaten me. I was hoping to just plug my old drives in and be on my way, but it's looking more like a reinstall now. Might be for the best. The machine came with a ssd I wasn't gonna use right away, and I can switch over to gpt instead of legacy. Waaay more work than I wanted, but it'll be a good excuse to modernize, and change some of my methodology. I think I'm gonna do away with the /home partition. It makes things more complicated without any great benefit. In case of reinstall, it isn't much harder to put everything in one partition, then copy /home over.
