I opened a can of Pringles and now I've eaten almost all of them. I popped then I couldn't stop.

Recommended action: Door tag will provide the time and address of the FedEx location where you may pick up your shipment, and also indicate if another delivery attempt will be made.
MFs! The bastards attempted delivery a day early so no one was home. And why do I have to drive home to read a note to see where I might be able to pick up the item? The Fedex facility is three blocks from where I am sitting right now. If they had included the info in the electronic notice, I wouldn't have drive all the way home just to read the note. Bastages.

I use a towel as a cat bed now since my cat has ruined too many beds. I had one in the washer, and she already puked on the new one. This freaking cat sometimes. I just let her sleep in her own puke, maybe she'll learn how retarded it is to puke in the only place in that room that is not a hard surface.

Cats always seek out soft stuff to puke on, it is the nature of cats.

Went for the reinstall. Sigh... Found the ssd was 360gb. Pretty respectable size. It's also nice getting rid of the cruft I've accumulated over the years, but I'm gonna be busy with this for awhile. Typing from my new system. Looks like my old system, just improperly setup :^/

Trying to photography fish. When I try to get a snapshot of a Black Molly, my cell phone goes "None. None more black." and refuses to focus.

Meanwhile, my old DSLR is just waaaasy too slow to get anything but the lazy-ass plecos. When it's not focusing on a smudge on the glass instead of the fish, anyway.

And the tank glass gives me all sorts of weird glare, but only sometimes.

Haha I hate clean installs. That's when I realize all the quircks that I then have to google for again and spend time trying to fix.

I'm digging the new computer. Probably worth the hassle. I went from a noisy Core2 EZbake oven to a quiet, peppy, and cool I5. Always swore I'd never buy a prebuilt system, but I just don't care about hardware anymore. As long as it runs libre software, I'm good with it. I don't even know if the price was good. I can't be arsed to research that crap anymore. Seemed like the right machine for the right amount of money,

Haha every time I go through the hassle of a custom build I tell myself next time I'm just getting a prebuilt. These days it almost makes no sense to build since the price of the cpu alone is more than a prebuilt system. It's crazy how cheap they are now.

I still enjoy actually putting a system together though, it's dealing with all the weird issues that happen after the fact, then learning that a certain piece of hardware does not play well with Linux or whatever and then have to try to find all sorts of work arounds or RMAs etc. My last workstation build was a nightmare, took me years of troubleshooting as some of the issues only happened maybe once a month. Turns out it was the video card driver, so I ended up just getting a different video card so that it uses a different driver. I just have the worse luck in general with running into the weirdest undocumented quircks. Super annoying.

My last few servers were somewhat prebuilds though, less issues. Basically Supermicro barebones systems. it's not exactly a prebuilt, but close enough.

Just install Win 10.
I'm pretty much finished upgrading win10. I used alternate servers, and it went way faster than it does using MS's.

Pro tip, point your win10 upgrade to http://deb.debian.org/debian/ and your updates will fly. No staring at spinning wheels wondering wtf the machine could possible be doing. I like what they've done with the setup and theming on this release. It's the best it's ever looked...

Nice and legal. No BSA visits for me...

Stupid weather implied it was gonna be rainy today, so I didn't do my wash this morning...

Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 84. Calm wind becoming south around 6 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Aside from some sprinkles this morning, it's been mostly sunny. I did the wash, and hung it up, but I was a few hours late. Will probably be almost dry, then get downpoured on :^S

Had a drought in the beginning of summer, but it's been nothing but fucking rain since. Rained all spring too. One might think it was the PNW if not for the obnoxious heat and stink in the air. Winter can't get here soon enough...

Never tried to manual focus? Also, you just need more light to take faster pix.

Mom's on my back step looking in the window, and making me feel guilty. Gotta stick with morning food time. I don't want animals here all the time, especially possum and raccoon at night if food gets left.

I hate shitty web coding. Trying to access a tool at work but it just stays stuck at loading screen. Some stupid javascript crap that's probably hung up or something.

Speaking of heat it's brutal hot here too, and I just realized that my week of vacation is coming soon. Was hoping it would cool off by then. I want to build a deck.. but not in this heat. At least that part of the house gets shade for a decent part of the day though, so there's that.

These fucking neighbors' landscapers always know to come when I'm prepping to get on a conf call. They do these 100x60 home plots for almost an hour blowing their shit at commercial-grade decibel levels. And every 5 days when the grass isn't even noticeably taller. Every one but me and 1 other neighbor uses landscapers. So god'damn annoying. It's ok to let your grass grow taller than 2 inches FFS.
