It's very good. (why is there no thumbsup emote? AT LEAST WE HAVE A F&CKING FISH CAKE THO)lxs turned me on to ublock origin.
Been on ublock for a while myself. At one point it stopped working for Youtube though so I had to switch to Adblock but I went back to ublock after it got fixed. I find it's just more lightweight.
A couple days ago at one of my leagues, my old bowling ball disintegrated leaving its guts somewhere inside the machine. I kinda liked that ball even if it was just a 10 pounder.
For reasons I don't really understand, I have this need to launch the ball with all my strength. That usually puts it down the lane at about 17-18 mph. But because it's so light, doing that doesn't throw my center of gravity off by much. Either that or I've just adapted to it.
So I had to pull out my backup ball which I haven't used (much) since I got it a couple of years ago. That's a 13 pounder and for me, it's a bit unwieldy. It only shaves about 1 mph off the speed but staying upright after throwing it is a challenge.
Anyway, since I've lost a fair amount of weight since I got the ball, the holes were much too big. So last night at my other league, even after putting about 10 yards of tape in the holes, it was still sliding off my hand with annoying regularity.
So today I had to go to the pro shop to get the little bastard re-drilled. Such a pain in my ass.
You know its a bad day when you get food that looks like this:
Taste nothing like how it looks...
Infact i couldn't get past one bite, as it tasted horrible, and still ended up costing a too much for what it was.
they called that white round thing, flourless cheese cake...
dont ask me how they made cake without flour.... you see why i said it tasted nothing like how it looked.
I'm not sure how it's possible to throw a ball much past 20mph and keep it on the lanes but I've never tried to see if I could throw it faster while ignoring accuracy.Heh, if I could get a grip on it I used to be able to hurl a 10lb ball well over 20mph (I think my record was 26mph).
I preferred the largest I could get, which was usually around 16lbs. I have large hands, used to have amazing grip.
I wasn't to bad at the game either, though I only ever got a perfect game once. I don't think I have the trophy anymore.
I haven't gone bowling in a long time (even offered free matches), ever since I hurt my back. Not going to take the chance.
If I could afford the gun/ammo I'd probably try taking up shotgun bowling. Looks like it could be a safe and fun alternative.

I wonder what speeds Olympic hammer throwers can reach. That's the only way I can see doing it. My guess is that it's not just a matter of strength but more physics - at least as long as you're using the same throwing technique as for bowling.
Sounds like a good rainy day research project though. I'm way to lazy to pursue it though.
edit: Another thought occurred to me. Part of the speed you reach is contributed by your body's velocity as it approaches the foul line. IIRC, a decent running speed is around 6mph. So maybe if you had a good running start you could hit 26mph.
OK, must stop thinking about this.
I ran into a guy on a sidewalk who can't see until he gets his eye surgery next week. NO scratches or bumps or bruises so no biggie
Nothing new under the sun. Friend's family owns a high end men's clothing store. 30 years ago he sold me a winter coat for $200. The tag said $350. Said he made $$ at $200 but couldn't keep them on the rack at $350. I'm still saying "wut?"People are so vain and materialistic now you could literally sell them a pile of crap for $400-1000
As long as you had a "name brand" and the crap was from various "famous" people (price varies by reputation).
Me either...I just have big bones...
EITC ...ftw?Looking forward to people bagging about "getting back" 8k in taxes, while not even paying that much in.
*snip* I really need to figure out a solution to automate the snow removal, and also to deal with when there's freezing rain. I will tilt them more next summer, hopefully that at least helps.
