What first world problem did you have today?

I thought of a really good first world problem last night, but now I don't remember it.

Just this morning, was taking care of a #2 when the timer on the clock radio expired. It cut off the interview I wanted to hear just as it began. Son of B. I really wanted to hear what Brian Billick had to say about the Seattle D-line. Life is so unfair.

new problem - out of coffee. F********

Fiancees car broke down on Tues. Tues night, after work like 5 minutes after I got home after 10 hours in the office and fighting with bad traffic, I had to go and fetch her from the parking lot where her car was unwilling to go into gear. Then she was upset and crying because she has "feelings." So I had to cook my own dinner.

Her transmission is indeed fubar, and we found a shop who said they would rebuild it for 1K, but Im not sure if its worth it since its a 2004 Taurus with 200K miles, KBB for private party is around 2K. Im working on paying off my 2nd mortgage, (have been since 2007 when I bought this house), and I think I'll finally have that paid off by end of 2016... so I dont have 10K in cash sitting around to pick up a newwer car for her, and she lost her job, so she has no cash to pick up a newwer car, and I do not want to finance another car, especially since I only just finished paying off the loan for my own car a few months ago.

Well, there remains some coffee in my thermos, and amazon delivered 5 pounds of coffee beans to me on Monday, so, while I had to cook my own dinner, and listen to grumbling and whining, I am decently well off

I just got two composite dental fillings today.
My upper jaw is still sore from the anesthetic. The dentist uses luckily very fine needles. Can not feel the needle entering but can feel the anesthetic being pumped into my gums. :|

this is on top of overall general dickery on this project over the past week, like CC'ing my boss and my boss's boss on an email asking me for a status update when he would have known the whole thing was on hold pending change approval from the client if he'd taken 30 seconds to read my earlier updates.

Ugh!!! I HATE when PMs get so uppity about their forms and formats. They dont want to do any work at all, they want you to do all the technical work, AND all the administrative work. They just want to get status and cover their ass. They dont even care most of the time if whatever project they are PMing works, they just care if its on time.. bunch of BS!

I am officially a soccer mom today. Kids got accepted to a really good gymnastics program and all the soccer moms were staring at me when I dropped them off today. I felt like a piece of meat dangling from a string in the middle of a pack of wolves.

They were only interested in leveraging you to carpool their mouth breathers.

Sadly everyone always thinks their 'program' is good.
