Someone would get a beating for that.
(At least a verbal beatdown..)
Except no one's awake enough to do it. Check. Mate.
That's blasphemy! The whole point of coffee at the office is for the caffeine!
You know, I'm surprised that companies haven't replaced coffee with caffeine tablets.
- Much cheaper cost per mg of caffeine. 60 tablets, 200mg each, is only a few dollars.
- No spilled coffee.
- Less time spent on bathroom breaks.
- No issues with who makes the next pot.
But, people are also stupid. A 60-tablet bottle is 12 grams, which looks like it's got a good shot at being a lethal dose for me. I guess you'd have at least one case a week of someone ODing on the stuff and either going to the hospital or dying of a heart attack.
I can only tolerate about 50mg at a time. Sometimes I'll do something stupid and forget this, and get a medium iced cappuccino from Tim Hortons. 140mg of caffeine. Then strap me in, cause my heart's pounding for several hours afterward.
A whole 200mg tablet? Christ...that would not be fun.
Tim Hortons' extra large coffee has 330 grams. Nnnnope.
1) Get tort reform laws passed, though
companies have found a workaround for that.
2) Company buys life insurance policies on its workers.
3) Offer free 50mg caffeine tablets at work.
4) The average stupidity of the company's surviving workforce declines, while revenue increases.
5) Life insurance companies stop offering you policies.
