Hmmm could be. I sometimes get a wiff of my hardwood floor, it's odd, I'm really not sure what causes it. It's a nice smell, but just odd that it sometimes shows up randomly.

I'm getting too many French presses. I get them from thrift shops, and always find one that has a different size/shape, so I buy it. Just got another one today. That's six or seven now :^(

My wife and I just got back from a mini-vacation in Monterey, CA. It turns out that we are not first world enough to afford a mini-vacation in Monterey.

<== Goes to one of the most expensive towns in the country, complains about cost.

Sold some flashlights on Craigslist. My BYOB (batteries) policy backfired... had to watch the guy fumble around with a flashlight he'd never used trying to put the batteries in then show him how to turn it on using near dead batteries. Would have been easier if they were preloaded but that would have cost me money...

Do what most vendors do and charge a little extra for batteries. Most people aren't going to notice.

I assume that these are semi-high end flashlights to make it worth selling them. I can't see bothering with $2 Chinese LED's

Depends on what you mean by high end... I know some people who'd never pay more than $5 for a flashlight and consider low end Maglites to be insanely expensive.

I've noticed that Craigslist caters to these types and $5 really is a big deal. On the other hand, the unit cost for cheapo alkalines is like $1 or less.

And "flashlight enthusiasts" generally use rechargeables so it'd be a waste to buy something to use for a few minutes.

Watching Emmy red carpet. Amy Schumer shows up. Within a couple seconds, manages to earn a sound mute for, I believe, mentioning her vagina. Then goes on to make a "joke" about swallowing. Continues and talks about smoking pot. All in a couple minute interview.

Why is she popular? Rhetorical question, I know why.

There was a girl in the parking lot of Tim Horton's, standing on the hood of an SVU twerking, but I didn't have my phone with me to take a video.

Fall is almost here yet we still have 90s temperature down here (plus humidity) and the AC is running full blast.

Can't wait for cooler weather.

I guess it depends on the person.

I grew up in Minnesota. The very first time I visited Virginia I got heat stroke and barfed for 2 days straight.
These days I have a nice layer of fat keeping me warm all the time. Not to mention a built-in fur coat. I'd prefer it cooler, sure. But skinny people love the heat.

My father used to say "You can always add a layer, but you can only take so many layers off." He was skinny his whole life.

Anyway........

Personally, I can handle the cold a lot better than the heat, especially the hot heat and high humididy = miserary.

In cold weather, I can bundle up and move around to warm up but in hot weather, even with short and tshirt, it still is miserary for me. No escape except with AC. I do not know how people were able to cope during old time before electricity/AC era.

Same here, anything over 25C and it gets a little intolerable, and there's not much you can do, especially if you are doing physical work. Once you get into that sweating state it's really hard to cool down and get comfortable again.

I find the extreme cold is harsh too though, like once it gets to -30 and colder, but if I had to pick between -30C and +30C I'd probably take the -30 tbh.

^I want to agree because the heat is just disgusting sometimes. But heat doesn't give me frostbite and result in potential amputation if I wear shoes that aren't waterproof during the winter. On the milder side, heat also doesn't make my extremities sore/itch for weeks because I didn't wear thicker socks or gloves.

30C = 86F = small potato here. How about 110 (heat index) = 43C during the summer around here.

This whole week the temperate will in the low 90s or about 34C.

How is your automate rat/rodent catching system going?
