30C = 86F = small potato here. How about 110 (heat index) = 43C during the summer around here.

This whole week the temperate will in the low 90s or about 34C.

How is your automate rat/rodent catching system going?

Hottest I've ever seen is 39C. Never again. I have heard of some of our buildings hitting 50C though, that's the highest I've seen but never witnessed myself. The first A/C tech to go in there usually swears a little bit in French, sets fans, and comes back later.

I need to check my traps, I have one that is showng as triggered, I think it's a false alarm, but it might be real. Going to wait and see if the 3rd alarm point goes too. They're set on 3 alarm points to save me from going up each time. I need to redo the system though, it's just gotten nasty and lot of the traps arn't setting properly. I'll make the next version so it's easier to change the traps instead of hard wiring it. Need to put another set in the first attic too, for all I know, there may be nice in there too.

Still need to figure out how they're coming inside in first place. I think I need to just tar every potential entry point on the roof even though I don't see anything obvious.

This reminds me, Costco has amazing pesto. It's the one in the jumbo-sized jar, of course.
So . . . a 55 gallon drum.

Doing some major maintenance on my BMW, there is a bolt I can't get a tool onto. Not sure what to do next.
Have you tried a swivel socket? You can also just get a 1/4, 3/8, etc swivel adapter for a regular socket. In a worst case scenario you can daisy chain 2 swivel adapters. It gets a little tricky lining them up to the target if they aren't stiff and hold their positions though.

Not a problem but I have to mention this. I have this ancient ReplayTV unit that is at least 15 years old, probably more, that I use for recording on my ancient surveillance system. Honestly, it's pretty pointless but there's always the chance it will be useful. Anyway, I recently noticed that it was hung on the 'please wait' screen. I figured it had finally met it's long overdue end. But just for yuks I checked online (google is amazing, never should have found the answer with my search query) and the fix was really simple. So now it's working again. If I could only find the remote. The Harmony remote seems to work ok with it but I like the original.

Went out for an errant earlier tonight and a cat or a rabbit dashed out so fast in front/underneath of my vehicle that I was unable to avoid it. I went back and nothing so look like it was able to dash away to safety.

My toothbrush briefly lost its bluetooth connection so I brushed for 20 seconds longer than I should have!

Saw a post saying there are northern lights out tonight. Went to check and can't see anything with the naked eye, but sometimes the camera set to low exposure can still pick some up. I was going to grab my camera stuff and drive somewhere I can get a better shot, but noticed I can't find my shutter remote. Cleaning lady probably moved it. I'll have to buy another now and wait till it comes in.

I have to go to the auto parts store and order a new windshield washer pump for the rear window. Why Ford buried it behind the right front wheel liner I'll never know but it's going to be a pita to get to.

Cars seemed to be designed to make the most basic of repairs as difficult as possible so that you have to go get it serviced professionally.

Ordered some Xeon chips for a customer last week. Amazon delivered them to the business on Sunday (when they were closed). Via USPS. To the street mailbox.

No chips in mailbox when business opened Monday morning.

I just got back from my local AutoZone store. The folks were real nice and the lady at the service counter ordered the pump for me and it will be in at 1pm today. They'll call me when it comes in so I'm trying to decide if I want to install it this afternoon or wait until in the morning when its cooler outside..

Same here, anything over 25C and it gets a little intolerable, and there's not much you can do, especially if you are doing physical work. Once you get into that sweating state it's really hard to cool down and get comfortable again.

I find the extreme cold is harsh too though, like once it gets to -30 and colder, but if I had to pick between -30C and +30C I'd probably take the -30 tbh.

Easy. Cool water cools you down pretty fast. I would be happy with temps in the low 90's year around, maybe dipping into the 70s in the evening.

^Meh, even the cheapos are OFC and gold plated now.

I am a sucker for braided cables though -- combination of durability, kinking, and the PVC jacket laced with lead is somewhat contained.

Well as luck would have it I went out and pulled the wheel liner back to bet a glimpse of the task and discovered that the factory pump for the rear washer has already been removed and replaced. What the previous owner did was cut the factory harness off and hard wire the replacement pump to the wiring. Now the factory pump I have will not attach without the plug and a new plug is prohibitively expensive. I tried the local junk yards for a plug but turned up empty handed. I ended up ordering another pump just like the unit that died so when I gets here I'll cut the wires and install it.

Is that a bad thing? I'd love to smell pine everywhere.

I like the smell of pine too. I tried to make it smell like pine around Christmas time by putting pine tree branches in my humidifier, it did not work and just made a mess to clean up. I need to try something else this year. Pine is apparently poisonous to cats, otherwise I'd just shove the branches within the Christmas tree. Of course I can just buy the spray, but it's not exactly natural.

As for a FWP... my car is in the shop, so I can't go to the grocery store to buy junk food. I'll also have to get up earlier tomorrow so I can take a cab to work. Though it's tempting to actually walk, not THAT far, will just require to get up even earlier.

^Pine/wood is nice for a minute, not all day for me.

And Brangelina broke up... Sucks for them but they're dragging Marion Cotillard into this. Why is it my problem? It's not, and I don't mind the news coverage either.

Can you get Amazon/Wal-mart to ship to you given your "remote" location?
